If we sign Messi and Ronaldo it doesn't change the fact that Marwood is incompetent

Should this not be renamed 'Winter paid to defend Marwood by Marwood / City hierarchy' ?

Winter is a good guy like Martin Samuel. Talks a lot of sense.

hahahahahahahaha, nice one cat, Samuel yes, Winter, hahahahahahah, nice one classic!

in a couple of days we could end with two third choice targets (garcia and nastasic) signed in a tipical hurry like panic buy. and payed at thier possible maximum value.

then i wonder if anyone will still be here to says that marwood has done a great job...

Very good players, though, apparently. Garcia in particular.

very good players but still third choices , garcia to de rossi and martinez and nastasic to silva and agger.

Why does this matter? Mawood is a twat but this is the nature of the beast with transfer targts.. You need to have a Plan B an a Plan C. I bet some of the City lads tearing up the league last season were second and third choices. Still won the league and stuffed the rags 6-1 at Swampsville.

What evidence do some of you have, that Marwood doesn't know what he's doing?

It's facts I'm talking about, not twitter nonsense and RM spitting his dummy out cos we won't pay over the odds for players.

It's cringeworthy some of the stuff on here, embarrassing stuff.

Our profit making, Premiership player producing Academy has completely fell apart under his watch.
We have the highest wage bill in the league.
The club has no consistent football policy across teams. Our support of womens football fell apart.
The club leaks like a sieve and his personal grieveances are often publicly aired through his contacts in the press.
He has no relevant qualifications for the role he has.
He has consistently failed to get on with every manager who has worked under him.
We are unable to move on players.
We have no influence in UEFA and they still use us as a whipping boy.
Our scouting department fell apart.

There's more, but that's some to be getting on with.

Is anybody trying to seriously suggest that Brian Marwood is one of the greatest football administrators in the world? If the answer is no, why are you supporting his continued employment at the club?

There are better out there and I imagine that he will not last much longer now that Soriano is here.

Still not sure why that would be Marwoods fault (he may well be shit but there are other factors surely?)
Take the Hazard situation, if Lyon said 32m and hazard said 200k pw plus a starting place everygame and his agent said 'Its 6m to me', I can't see Marwood having the authority to say Yes or No - I think he would have been on the blower to Khaldoon straight away. After all the owners have done I can't see them having a dick in place of big decisions.

On another topic Mancio, I'm going to Naples in two weeks (international break), should I get Mario or Mancini on my new shirt ?

I wonder why those leaks failed to mention the Rodwell transfer.

You have no evidence whatsoever for any of those comments.

I haven't a clue if Marwood is doing a good or bad job, but I would have thought our owner and chairman would.

I guess you know more than them then.

Well if all that is on his head no wonder it is failing. He is responsible for the lack of interest in the womens team now?
