Those of you who left early

If you leave early at 1-1, you deserve to be kicking yourselves. Never have understood that "leaving to beat the traffic" stuff. Like you have the Playmate of the year at home waiting with a steak & lobster dinner and a frosty brew? No, for the most part, you are rushing home to put on your slippers and watch the highlights of the match you were just at... and that's no way to see the winning goal.

Staying to the end does not make you a better fan than someone who leaves early.

Believing that it does makes you a knobhead.

It doesn't even matter. If someone leaves early because they want to beat traffic, that's fine. And to be honest if the reason the OP decided to make the thread was because he thought it'd be funny to mock them, he or she is an idiot.

If you wanna get annoyed about it, I'd suggest it's nice to give the boys an applause after a good win/performance. I always stay til the end, but I sneak up the stairs to get out a bit earlier, if that's okay with the OP?

trying to cheer the boys on during a massive game when we are 1-1 and deciding to go home ?

to me that makes you useless if you're not there.

That depends on your reasons for being there.

Are you a servant of City, do you pay money to City to be useful?
Personally I go because City entertain me, that's a basic way of putting it. But I pay for that pleasure, and I do what I like with that.

Touche, the only response I think I could've got where I just zipped my mouth.

What about the old bloke who's been going to Maine Road for 50 years and sits there in total silence every game, is he useless too ?

Or the gang of boisterous young men who miss the first few minutes as they're finishing off their pints at the bar.

Or the bloke who pops out for a piss 2 or 3 times in every match and misses a few minutes that way.
