Ticket Prices

I imagine this point has already been made several times but from an empty seats perspective the best thing the club could do is to increase the season ticket price and reduce the match day price.

As a season ticket holder rmyself I'd be pissed off if they did that but it does make sense.
Really, you think that the people who commit to a whole season of football should be paying more to soften the blow for the casual odd game fan ?

Just to offer an alternative opinion.

You are watching the Champions League finalists and the current top 2 in the Prem League. You're also watching a team coached by the finest in Europe with players doing amazing things. This game will be watched by millions globally that would give their right arm to be there.... you can to, for only £63.

Apart from the Rags and the Dippers or PSG in the CL, games don't come much bigger than that and tickets will be in short supply, so why not charge that amount for a big game?

It's when City still charge the same against the smaller clubs, or shit kick off times or just before Xmas, etc that I have a problem with.
My CL final ticket was £60 for a very similar seat.

Match day prices are shocking. Especially in the grand scheme of things when sponsorship and TV money bring most of the revenue in. Sheikh Mansour's legacy would be cemented if he introduced a £30 cap on match day tickets for us. Other clubs would have to follow. Don't think they would be moaning about oil money then!

Will Sheikh Mansour know how much the ticket office are charging us City fans, thought he would leave that stuff with employees in charge, he would be too busy surely.

Glad I am a season ticket holder. Would not pay those prices.
I use to get tickets for kids and parents from our football club but Cities greed has put a stop to that. Short sighted and not considering the future match goer (in my opinion - a legacy fan). Should be average per game for season ticket price +£5 for all ages.
However, it’s the price for success and watching the best team in the land and all the world….
Off to watch Alty vs Stockport tomorrow. Not seen Stockport live for nearly 20 year - lots happened since then Stockport 2: City 1.

As per my post, for the purpose of solving the empty seats then yes.
If the match day prices were lower we would sell a lot more. By increasing the season ticket prices, this would make up the lost revenue for the club.
Also, if season tickets were more expensive, people would be less inclined to buy one and not turn up.

For only £63..? Yes if your on your tod with no bills or other commitments. My leccy and gas could go up a grand this year. Wonder what’s going to be a priority? Chelsea or freezing our bollocks off !
