Yes. Go into cup schemes in your account and there is the option to leave. I did it earlier today. Can you still pull out of CL Cup schemes?
Yes it is such a bad thing. Because when we’re not the hottest ticket in town anymore and other clubs have taken over and we see all these nobodies fuck off because they don’t fancy watching us on the Europa Conference League every season, the club will be wishing they hadn’t pissed off the core support while they try and fill a 62,000 stadium against FC Vaduz on a Thursday night.I’m torn about this because on one hand I think our working class, loyal fans should be protected and prices have been creeping up. However, on the other hand I understand the club wanting to bring in new fans into the stadium experience. And I think the way they are looking to do this is in the CL, by pricing out a portion of the hardcore fans which frees up tickets and of course does help the club maximise revenue in the most prestigious completion.
Traditional fans want to go to every game but I think the reality of that now - certainly for working class fans - is over. It’s impossible to attend every game (well certainly looks financial impossible on paper but I know some manage it still). That will make some people upset but for others it’s an opportunity to see city for the first time live and is that such a bad thing? Ironically I remember at Maine road trying to get youngsters and new fans in was an active positive thing both club and fans were doing. It seems now because those new fans aren’t “locals” it’s suddenly a negative in some people’s eyes and that’s just bollocks.
If that’s the case then, that won’t be too bad, but why can’t they communicate it with us? Surely they aren’t that stupid to not realise that they will receive some shit announcing the Inter price in isolation when it is up at the same price at Quarter and Semifinal prices from the previous two seasons?Looking at the hospitality prices for the other games they are around 30 % cheaper
So if the normal tickets follow suit they should be around £35 for the other games ?
Not to bad if that’s what happens
I think it’s looks bad because the inter game is first
Would have been worse if it was the last home game and they still wanted that and it was probably a dead rubber so small mercy’s and all that ?
I thought there always were empties, fucking loads of them?Let’s hope the Watford game 7 days later is cheap otherwise it’s going to be an expensive month, could be lots of empty seats.
Yes. I did it last night. Go to ticketing part of account. Click on cup schemes. Select the scheme and press leave. Simple as that. Can you still pull out of CL Cup schemes?
Almost like they’ve turned it into a super league….Point taken re the pricing
It’s been a joke competition for years but the loss of sporting integrity brought about by the absurd changes to the group stages is surely the straw that breaks the camels back in terms of its reputation as a worthwhile trophy to win
Worth a boycott
Here we go again...tickets cheaper than most premier league games and were playing Inter Milan
Definitely close I'd sayWonder if we’ll see £100 tickets for the knockout rounds, should we qualify of course.
Doubt it will be that much tbh.It does feel similar, doesn’t it?
I nearly binned the CL this season as it’s pretty dull until the knockout games. I decided to give the new format a go.
No doubt Watford will be £40 too.
I actually think that the pricing on this one could well bite the club on the arse. They could get away with it against PSG a couple of seasons or so back as the Messi/Mbappe factor helped guarantee a full house but as big and good a team as Inter are, this is the first group game and sales are often a bit slower for that one than they are for the later group games even if those are against so-called lesser opposition. Obviously our support is growing all the time and it may well sell out but I think it might be a bit of a struggle at those prices.Because football is not wholly a commodity. You don't invest in many cases a lot of emotional attachment over so many years into a wahing machine brand. Of course football is a business and clubs need to make ends meet but we are talking about a) Manchester City - a club awash with money and b) a club that has not always been awash with money and great teams and has a huge fanbase who stayed loyal through the bad times and c) a club with a lot of support who have real money issues
Surely thd club can try to find a better balance. And for those who hark back to similar prides a few years ago, they were a rip off then as well
