Ticket Shambles Tonight - Disgraceful

I drove down on sunday ( from Blackpool) to pick up my munich ticket, i was going to pick up at napoli game but was told after standing in a queue that oh no sorry we are only doing tickets for tonights game now, pick up after game. I explained that i come to games on a supporters branch coach and cant keep 30 odd people waiting to get home etc. Nothing they could do i could pick up at Brum or everton ... thought fuck that what if they do same again so drove down on sunday.. went up not many about thought ohh jobs a goodun.. spoke to the nice friendly chap on the desk, he looked at my season card checked on his screen, asked for photographic id gave him my passport..checks his screen , asks me when i bought it i told him . he dissapeared round the back office for about 10 mins comes out and says could anyone else have picked it up for you ... er no , are you sure of course i am sure says i. oh well errm if you want to have a look round the shop give me a bit of time i will have to do a search for it as we may have given it someone or something so i will have to check. i mooched around the shop gave him 15 went back up , beeming tells me .. found it. It a bloody performance though.. I honestly dread having anything to do with them that involves face to face contact.

phones up yesterday cause i hadnt had confirmation that my SS had been activatied for birmingham it said queue for 90 minutes got through after 5 minutes RESULT asked her she tried to ignore my making a point about all your fiascos last weds and that i didnt want the same so i wanted to be sure n she read out my seat number and that my loyalty points had bee added lol **palmface** thats not what i asked ha ha :) even still dodged the queue by 85 mins :P

Im surprised that this thread hasnt been updated following the carnage that was last nights Q.
We ended up getting in on 22 mins, in the family stand, and without getting the points on our season cards.

I tried to buy over the phone and internet yesterday and was told I had to go to the ground.

Under the same circumstances I wont bother again.

And my lad wanted to buy a shirt and the city shop had shut - I guess this was after the game had kicked off

Usually I dont have any hassle because usually I sort it well in advance - but that last night would put anyone off

People who decide to buy tickets on the night can't moan if they don't get into the ground in time for kick off. I turned up at the ground at 5PM and there was only a few people getting tickets. When I went back to the ground at 7:15PM, the queue was so long I'm not surprised people got in late.
If you choose to buy tickets on the night, you can't blame anyone but yourself if you get in the ground late

I had no confirmation that I'd got my seat (cup scheme) and was holding my breath when I got to the turnstile (for the Napoli game I got two emails and two texts!) A friend who sits near me got a message yesterday saying that he hadn't been allocated his own seat despite being in the cup scheme!

Same as you last night Bluebird1, no confirmation text or e-mail (im in all the cup schemes) praying as you get to the turnstile that a green light flashes is absolutely no way of going to a football match, saying that though my ticket worked absolutely fine!

50% of the Ticket Office queries could surely be resolved by making the "My Account" on the Ticketing web-site easier to access. A lot of the queries could be resolved if fans knew where to look on the web-site.

I bet Supporter Services get bombarded with basic questions and so you can't get through.

Solution: Upgrade the website. Will it happen? No

What bollocks! If the club offers the facility to buy tickets on the night, then it has a duty to make sure it services that facility properly. Having inadequate numbers of staff working in the ticket office so that people have to queue for nearly an hour is an unacceptable joke. An ongoing disgrace

never had a problem in all my years...season ticket always works all the time at cup games and always managed to sort tickets over phone if needed for big games like semi or final or the scum away...I get a text message and email to confirm purchase always. You can also check your account and purchase history online...overall compared to what we had in past this is a great service.

I did see people last night sitting on seats that season ticket holders had...but people get confused or dont check their tickets...I also once seen a guy try to get into the ground using his matalan card (okay that was me, easy mistake!)

Disagree. This is how people got into matches years ago. I didn't go last night but yesterday in work I decided I would. Went to log in on line to charge my SC and you couldn't. Had to pick up ticket first. Stupid. The club are turning away last minute and casual fans big time. I stayed at home and watched Waterloo Road.

I have to say though I have NEVER had a problem with the TO in terms of enquiries, collections etc
