Tickets home - Real Madrid - Sold out

Same here, I phoned yesterday about the lack of emails and was told they'd be resent right away, but still nothing 24 hours later. I'm not worried yet as I logged into my account, and went to my purchase history, and have printed out the required confirmation pages.

They haven't covered themselves in glory for this for certain.

Granted, but the demand is huge.

That's the PSG game that sold out, is it?

And just to be clear the ground was filled with non-regulars - Hopefully those new people that came along got a Real Madrid ticket too.

You're either on the bus or not. You have a SC and on the CL cup scheme - outside of that you take a risk. Its a pretty simple concept really.

What are you talking about?

If you think demand is going to be exactly the same for a quarter final as it is for a semi final you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Not really, but our first ever QF of the CL versus PSG and we cant fill a ground we fill against Norwich??? Face it - people on here choose to sit in the pub on a cosy Wednesday night instead of sitting in the traffic / cold v Kiev

My point is if you don't follow all the games and expect to roll up for RM in the semi then some people will be disappointed. What's complicated about that?

The fact that the club reduced the price and offered two per season ticket is a result of the lethargy vs PSG. Don't pile all the blame the club when they go too far in their actions to prevent a part empty stadium

What a load of rubbish. For a start, the stadium wasn't "almost full", it was "SOLD OUT". Do you work for BT Sport of something?

But that isn't the point. The club didn't "offer 2 per season ticket". They ballsed up. Shall I tell you how I know? Because I'm on the cup scheme and wanted to take my lads. But i couldn't buy an extra ticket, and they can't go. It was only the season ticket holders NOT on the cup scheme who could. that's not a decison based on demand, it's a fuck up. Full stop. The fact that they turned this option off proves it.

I can't stand this infantile "You've only got yourselves to blame" uber-fan sentiment. Demand is always higher for bigger games. Always has been and always will be.

You could get extra tickets if you are on the cup scheme.

Was it fuck sold out - they shifted the last few tickets in the lower tiers but there were seats scattered around me in SS3. And no I don't work for BT sport, I'm a 41 yo City fan that doesn't care about the "shame" you and others get about empty seats. The lethargy for the PSG game was astounding - don't you agree?

I agree the club fucked up, but it was a reaction to shocking response from the 100,000 or so that appear to want to go to the RM game. Unfortunately, as there always is with tickets, some genuine people are caught up in the crossfire.

Its simple - the club reacted to shit support and got it wrong. Who's to blame? the club or all the cosy fuckers tucked up in the pub on a "boycott". What fucking great fans eh?

If people would have turned up for the PSG game the club wouldn't have had to take the decision to offer two per season ticket holder. Moaning when its the big games is no use!
1) The PSG game sold out even at the high prices the club charged. So there was little danger of this one not selling out.
2) The club panicked needlessly for the Madrid game and lost their heads completely in the way they allocated tickets and the sales windows.
3) People are entitled to moan when the system broke down under the strain (which was entirely self-inflicted) and when members who'd been to every CL game lost out to people who may never have attended a City game in their lives.

You're right though that it never does any harm to get new fans in who may become regulars. We were all new once. I pestered my dad to take me to a City game and he became hooked despite not really being a football fan.
