Tips on Sleeping in hot weather

Was thinking of sleeping outside tonight as last two nights I have woken up after about 2hrs with the heat.

That or sleep downstairs where it's cooler

Only thing with outsude is because the railway is over the road you get mice and other little fuckers running about the back entry in the dark

Been a few consecutive nights of high temperatures throughout the night, making sleep uncomfortable.

Last night was Dreadful and didn't manage much sleep at all. Sheets and pillow cases wet through, duvet on floor

Anyone got any useful tips?
30 mins before going to bed:

After having kept all the upstairs windows closed all day, open all the windows upstairs
Put a medium sized towel under the cold tap until it’s soaked
Ring it out somewhat
Put it in the freezer
Go and have a cold shower and don’t dry yourself
Put the fan on in your bedroom
Get the towel out of the freezer and go to bed, on top of the duvet, and use the cold towel as your blanket
