Tips on Sleeping in hot weather

Was thinking of sleeping outside tonight as last two nights I have woken up after about 2hrs with the heat.

That or sleep downstairs where it's cooler

Only thing with outsude is because the railway is over the road you get mice and other little fuckers running about the back entry in the dark

I knew it would be a problem last night so I took half a sleeping tablet.Slept like a baby but, the poor missus hardly slept and was up at 6.45 am.

Fucking mingin this, only so many cold showers you can have. Downstairs is the coolest and even that is sitting at 28 degrees atm. Another night of the sofa it seems.

I’ve just brought a fan downstairs whilst I’m watching TV for the first time ever

Thought i had finally been smart this year. Every summer i keep saying i will install aircon. The trouble is we already have a air source heat pump for the pool. So the neighbours are already treated to a constant outside fan going 24/7 as it is.
So after xmas i finally stumped up for a decent portable air con unit while they were still cheap.

It has sat under the stairs until last week.

So simple to set up. Basically plug in, throw the supplied flexi hose out of a window. Draw the curtains to stop warm air coming straight back in. (i will get a proper window vent at some point)

So there was me all cool with the room around 22-23C. Until....
The wife comes in. Fuck me are they ever happy?
"The fan is too noisy", "the room is too cold". "The open window is letting too much noise from outside". I give up!!!
