To those Leaving Early

wankers how many of you go down 5 mins before half time or go to the toilet whilst the game is on..are you not missing the game at that time..get a life...come to think i went to the toilet just before half time and saw the scrummage for the beer stall...hey do you think i can ask city for any money back as i missed some of the game

I wonder how many of those who left early lied about it the next day at work and in the future. "Yeah I was there when that goal was in, bloody brilliant". May it rest on your consciences ha ha. I can understand the people who have a genuine reason but looking at the large numbers who do it I can't believe they all have travel problems.

you re right i really had no reason, i just wanted to go, i did see the replay on the tv monitor at the top of the stairs though..i just excepted it was my own fault.. i really do need to spell.. how accept turned in to that above i just dont know..mental block

Sad as fuck leaving early, wouldn't leave the cinema early would you? Shit fans end of.

Shit fans lol yeah like when locals can't be arsed to turn up for cup matches !
If that's true, it's not only funny but the biggest case of the pot calling the kennel an idiotic fucking bell end I've seen on here for a while.

Brilliant

I go for a pint 10 minutes before half time

Missed a fair few goals last season cause of it.

I often leave between 88th minute and 90th, and home by 10.15pm, half an hour earlier than if I stayed

Arsed? Not really. Its my money. If I see fit to miss a goal or two then why should people take offence? Its only me thats supposedly 'missing out'.

I missed the Aguero goal as I was walking halfway up the steps to the exit from the SS, but wouldnt have appreciated just how good that goal was even if I had seen it anyway as it was scored towards the NS, when my seats near the front of 117

thats my point, its your choice, but i cant understand anyone calling someone else for leaving, when they have done it at some time in their life, every one of us, has either gone to the toilet, the snack bar or whatever, whilst the game was being played..its called being human

people are talking about 45 minutes like its a fucking life time strap some balls on spend a bit longer getting home so that when the players turn to clap us for supporting them they actually have people to thank! ffs an extra hour/45 minutes is shit all what you going to miss fucking family guy? big shame :'( i cant stand when its one all and we have all the pressure and people just leave like our players dont need our support when there doing everything to bag a winner just sad that losing an hour of time doing fuck all is more important than your club you love.

I live over 200 miles away and have to take a days leave to get to midweek fixtures, left straight after Aguero's second goal and got back at 2am, it would have been about 40 minutes later if I had stayed in my seat till the final whistle which with work I cannot really do.
On the other hand when I do travel this distance to make sure I get there in time I arrive at least an hour early and watch the warm ups etc.

I take it you drive.
Why not, as I do, park ten minutes walk from the stadium. I live in Northwich, so around 30 miles away towards Chester and I can be crossing the M6 easily within 40 minutes after the game has ended

it didnt matter what time i got home, i couldnt sleep because i was still buzzing about what City had done on the pitch! for 94 Minutes!!!

I do park 10 minutes away and it helps but it still takes longer to get from the seat to the exit and then to get out of the car park if you are not at the exit by the time the match ends.

I know what you're saying there. Depending on where you sit, it can take quite a bit longer to get out of the stadium if you stay until the final whistle (especially Level 3).

Leaving a match early was always a Manchester United thing.

Every time I have been at Old Trafford going back to the 1960s, from around 25 minutes from the finish people started to move 'to beat the traffic'.

It is sad to see City supporters picking up on this.

Play a game on Saturday or Sunday, i will clap like a motherfucker, play it at 8 bells on a monday night, i wont. CAN YOU HEAR ME AT THE BACK. The time of our kick off was to meet SKY's demand. Not anybody at the ground. If it was for the benefit of the match attending, ticket buying public it would not of been re-arranged.

I am years 49 years old and I will go home when I want. Why don't you have ago at all those that come in after kick-off? They come in with their drinks and chips and disrupt everyone. And they might miss an early goal or throw-in or something!

For years we never left early, always waited until the last City player had left the pitch. It was a kind of ritual.
In the latter years at Maine Road, we parked at a school 20-25 minute walk from Maine Road, and on night matches always used to get home in Birmingham around 11.30pm.
Then we moved to COMS and I was "transplanted" to halfway up the CB Level 3, still parked 25 minutes away in a City booked car park, but did not get home until around 12.30/12.45am, the worst time was 1.20am. Not exactly a great time when you're up for work at 5.15am!
Moving to the Eithad Stadium has therefore added between 60/75 at best, and 110 minutes at worst on our journey home compared to Maine Road.
To appease the Mrs we have now relocated to CB Level 1 with an exit near our new North car park and I have had to compromise that on night matches when there is more than 1 goal in it we leave at 85 minutes. It pains me to do it but it works, as on Monday we made it home for 11.35pm.
Now if that makes me a poor City fan then so be it, at least the journey home is a happy and moan free one!
Is leaving 5 minutes early to beat the traffic queue any worse than leaving 5 minutes before half-time to beat the beer queue?
Following City should be about enjoyment, not having to prove you're the best most loyal supporter.

If you were any kind of fan you would buy a house closer to the ground.
