To those Leaving Early

ha ha fuck me, not an ounce of perspective going on here. 'Disgusted' at those leaving early? what a prick, funny how people grade there love of city and insist that they love em more because they stand up all game, sing, never leave early, buy all the new tops etc etc etc blah blah blah.

people really will leave when they want and not be arsed by some sad prick worrying about it, get a fuckin life eh?

shirts not tops, never tops! thats all.

I always stay to the final whistle and enjoy walking down Joe Mercer Way after the game watching all those who left early sat in their cars on the giant car parks going nowhere

I drive up from Derby but never leave early (unless it really is shit). Great game last night, stay for a bit after the game and then a leisurely walk back to the car. If I rush, I'm only gonna be stuck in traffic.

Home at 12.45am last night, up at work for 6. More than worth it last night.

last night the the people in front of me left on 77 minutes which i think is ridiculous. However i dont see a problem with wanting to get out a bit sooner to beat the rush at the end, if they wanna do that it is their choice, it doesnt effect anyone else who wants to stay til the final whistle.

So now that we're playing well and we've got some of the best players the club has ever had, I wonder what it would take for some to stop to the end?

better access routes to & from the stadium...better car park entrances & exits....bigger & better car parks facilities closer to the ground.....cheaper car parking at the ground......possibly the metro will ease some of this, but i have my doubts

first and foremost make the exits bigger and faster and then drop the price for parking

Shady:
Just for interest, I'm roughly over same way as you. Left on final whistle, I'm half way up 3rd tier east stand, normally one of last out but didn't get out too bad. Waited about 5 min for mate at Asda. Walked (ambled) to Clayton Lane directly behind new Etihad Campus (20 min at least) and dropped my mate off at bottom of Motty Rd. in Stalybridge at 10:50. Ashton Old Rd was decent once past Openshaw lights and not too bad before them, better than a normal matchday. How long did it take you to get back and were you on East car park-only it seems they let a lot on there last night without paying regard to egress??

I've always found it weird that we could get back from Maine Rd to Vegas quicker than from Etihad/COMS, which is nearer home. (Traffic flow, more cars on road, more lights, similar distance to parking but easier to get out of Kippax). For a 3 o'clock kick off we were home 5.25 from MR and now it's getting on for 6pm from Etihad to same place (if I remember correctly last time we had a Sat 3pm and I made this journey).

i park at grey mare lane market mate....i was home for 10.15 last night and posting on here....i left at the 86th min

if i'd have left at full time i would have been home around 11ish

ashton old & new rd is always rammed

To those who leave early:

It's your choice, nothing to do with anyone else how long you do or don't stay, you pay for your tickets so how you use them is up to you.

Nobody's is saying it isn't and I think they are intelligent enough to know it's their choice. It just looks shit when the final whistle goes and the players are all happy and cheering and look round to see thousands of empty seats!

i left early & missed Kun's 2nd goal...my loss, so what

you just said it. you missed a special goal and you helped embarrass the club, well done.

take your head for a wobble mate

The bloke in front of me left after 25 minutes! Muttered something along the lines of 'fuck this, I'm going home' and then upped and left.

Never understood them but it's their loss at the end of the day. The idea is to 'support' the team for 90+ minutes, not just watch them for 80!

Yeah, because it was shit, that's why.

How did the game finish by the way...

You probably made the right decision, I hear Corrie was a classic last night.

We were very negative with three defensive midfielders and were lucky to scrape a 4-0 win.

i don't understand the stick people get for leaving early, if they pay for the ticket then surely they should be allowed to leave whenever they want? atleast they've come to support the team, personally i never leave early as i want to watch the match and im 16, but i dont have a job so credit to those who actually come when they've got work the next morning and want just want to beat the rush by missing the last few minutes.. i don't really see it as an embarrassment unless we just have a really poor attendance, most people from other clubs do the exact same

Well for the 7 min you left before me your journey time was halved over my 55 min. which for such a short journey is quite remarkable.

The sooner they get exit to the south and south west and ashton New Rd sorted the less people will be coming in from the north and east, and there should be better exit routes to the east, which should help us.
Tram for me from Ashton in 2014 pal, my walk from where I park to the ground is only a little bit less than a walk from home to Ashton Station, that will be one less car for you to duel with.

Good call that but I've misled you mate, I'm in Hurst cross, mate and the oldies live in Vegas- if I'm dropping him off it's Ashton old road, if I'm by myself I sometimes go through Woodhouses. I'd still have to drive to guide bridge if it stops there too.

Bloody annoying, I sit at the end of the row and the swarms leaving made me miss Aguero's cracker. Thing is, they all just stand on the stairs if something's about to happen. If you're leaving, fine, but do it quickly and get out of the way!

Moan over.

never mind people leaving early, it's the people who arrive LATE, which i don't understand.

3 blokes arrived 25 minutes into the game last night.

another few got their 15 minutes in, the bloke infront of me arrived after 30 minutes.

seriously wtf?
