I don't really see the point of the race at the Olympics, it's a mess, like all the mixed swimming/triathlon - I don't see how it has merit.

The 400m runners have a relay and the individual to go, so they'll be hoping to have got through without giving them an additional race.

It did create some classic commentary though. The BBC was fine, but there's one going round on Twitter of the international feed and the commentator going wild when the Nigerian bloke ran that leg, as if he wasn't always going to be miles faster than the women he was up against.

Lack of coverage of GB medal ceremonies is annoying me. Even looked on YouTube and can’t see any. For me the whole point of the Olympics is watching the teary-eyed winners stand on the top podium as the anthem plays. Is it the snowflake BBC somehow avoiding showing them or have I missed them?

They've definitely been showing them at the time. Dunno if they're putting them on the highlights shows though. The women's BMX one was pretty emotional. I've seen some swimming ones too.

They’re not showing them on the highlight shows, which is all I’m able to watch. It’s bloody annoying.

Just watched the BBC highlights of the game. Don't know whether they are indicative of game, but I thought we were unlucky. Their goalie made some cert goal saves, Keira hit the post, as did Hemp the crossbar and the fourth Oz goal looped over and into the top corner. Screeching Lord Pee-arse seemed to be rather pleased with the result.

And the Irish yapper on the Beeb sez it was a fantastic strike from Miedema. Bollocks! She kicked it and the goalie makes a four 'n ninepence of it à la Hans Seegers. Jeez and that Dutch pen was worse than Caroline Weir's! Oh and Miedama's pen in the shootout was unsuccessful. Oh dear.

The guy was spouting about what other countries are doing that GB rowing isn't! WTF could anyone 'do' apart from picking rowers who can row faster than others. It might be that the ones they pick can't row as fast as the others but instead of saying our rowers are second best they have to find some mysterious, magical element that has been bestowed on other countries' rowers and not ours.
