Thomas Müller set to reject chance to join Van Gaal at Manchester United <a class="postlink" href="http://gu.com/p/3pf7q/tw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://gu.com/p/3pf7q/tw</a> #mufc
And on it goes... hopefully down to Cameron Jerome by August. :-)
I'm sure they'll get a few big names in, though, but I find it funny when they get snubbed. Kroos and Muller in the same day.
Müller and Kroos are totally different stories. And the same interview of Müller from yesterday's Sportbild some see as a confirmation that he will stay at Bayern - some say that it lacks it because of one word and because they miss a hundert percent answer about 2014/15. Thomas always states the same - since years. That he loves the club, that if he would know that he always would be an important player he would sign a contract until career end - but, that things in this business could happen on very short notice so it is "never say never". He is often taking responsibility for this team, is the middle of the dressing room, often the speaker, the entertainer of the team and the fans... And even with a Robben, Ribery etc. in the team he is their top scorer.
I do not know how much people have seen the German cup final. He was totally spent at the end of the match - was doing funny gymnastics the last 30 minutes to keep him from cramps - but when Rafinha won the ball in minute 122 he ran from about his own box over the field in a "snail sprint", fought off Schmelzer with crossing him, rounded the keeper and scored the 2:0. He often looks funny but he somehow looked like he could hardly keep himself on his feet and the way he walked afterwards looked more like he would have melons hanging between his legs...
There is a lot stories like this about this 24-year-old. There is not much players with character...
Everybody knows that he usually would not leave if he sees a football perspective at Bayern - so if he would go or the club would let him go it would fall back onto the club. There is no doubt that he is good enough and that he can make the difference with the right tactics.
Thomas cannot be happy with all that happened this season. He probably missed the trust and he probably would have been better if Guardiola would have had it. He would sure get that with van Gaal - but the club and probably Guardiola, too, will do a lot to keep him happy in Munich.
--------------------
Kroos has told in an interview with the Bild that came out some minutes ago that he will stay in Munich next season as the never talked with another club - but it sounds that he for sure will not sign a new contract with Bayern... (sitting out his contract and trying to get as much money for himself in the next summer transfer window!)
...and...
that Manchester United is no topic and never was...
(so it seems he let his agent sit at the Gladbach match with Moyes just out of show purposes...)
