Toni Kroos

Do you think this would work in the Premier League? I'm not saying it wouldn't, just the thought frightens me a little, if I'm being honest.

Oh Jesus. I thought as much. :)

Don't see why it wouldn't. No other league uses counter-attacking football as much as the Bundesliga, it's the dominant tactic there, and it's talked about a lot in Pep Confidential.

It's not like there's an abundance of good wingers in the premier league.

You wouldn't consider vasquez, san jose, or soriano lesser known players? That's 3 of their 8 midfielders.
San Jose is a Center back, Vasquez is a wing forward. The only surprising addition over Isco is Bruno.

But it is Del Bosque, he is a shit coach who has been blessed with an excessively talented squad.

I thought Bruno was a top class DM in the league? Why is he a surprising addition over Isco?

In fairness, I was caught up on his words. Bruno too has a spot although I feel Busquet Koke and San Jose could have handled that position comfortably. But then again, I think he was rewarding performance over the season.

There is a reason Real want rid of just about their best player. His wages are £250k a week.

Do they want rid of him though? Short of financing a run at Pogba, I don't see Real parting ways with Kroos.

He's as close to a perfect Pep player as it comes though, so here's hoping...

Two champions league victories a World cup and a European Championship is hardly the mark of a shit coach, however good the players at his disposal are,

You can never be sure about Real Madrid, but they really don't like paying top dollar for defensive minded players.

Absolute bollocks. We know what Kroos' wages are because his contract was leaked, and plastered all over the Internet. It's €12m/year - £180k/week.

He's also not even close to being their best player either, but that's another discussion.

Don't know about that, but from what I've heard from my friends up there, Kroos is a real fan favorite. They really like his no nonsense, cool, calm and composed personality and style of football. Some of them I've talked to are not even happy that they are being linked with Pogba cuz they really feel that they've found a perfect balance with Casemiro and Kroos steadying the ship alongside Modric.
