I read he's touring the Grand Slam stuff this year and refining the studio sessions he did with Phil and doing them as they were meant to sound.Saw Archer a few years ago. He was playing in a band called X-UFO, alongside former keyboard player Danny Peyronel and Clive Edwards at the tiny Railway venue in Bromley Cross near Bolton. He and the band were excellent too.
INTRODUCING X-UFO
According to band manager Nigel Hart, 2011 saw the beginning of a great new classic rock band formed from the remains of a host of other great bands. That band is X-UFO. You can listen to them live…heavymetalmessenger.com

The one he's talking about is to be released earlier this year. Around the 5.30 mark-I got the album a while back. It's 'ok' ....
With Steve Vai dressed as Mel B.?I’ve always loved that clip and still stick it on occasionally late at night when I’m sitting up on my own.
All due respect — he’s contributed precisely one truly important record to the history of pop/rock music and that was over thirty years ago. Fine guitarist, but can’t hold a candle importance- or influence-wise to a lot of other musicians on this list.I'm surprised Slash scored as low as that. An absolute icon and, in my opinion, very underrated in terms of his guitar ability. His solo's always worked seamlessly with the songs and seemed to capture the words and mood of the song as well. I thought he'd make the top 10!
