Top 3 Transfer Mistakes

What about failing to sign a player?
I'll throw van Buyten in the mix. Although to be fair I'm not sure how we missed out to be honest - probably penniless at the time.

Mark schwarzer. We could have signed him when he came to England. He could have been our number 1 for 15 years.

Tin hat time here; what about Sweep's second coming? It just didn't work out, did it? He was a pale imitation of the player we had from '99 to '05. Pity.

Ever I would say:
Daley who epitomised Allisons' excesses.
Bradbury who epitomised the poor buys when we struggled
Vuoso who epitomised Keegans' excesses though there were many others.

Since the Sheikh arrived money has not been so much of a concern but:

Adebayor took forever to get off our books
RSC ditto and was one prolonged injury.
Sinclair not expensive but selling AJ we needed some semi quality width and we got Sinclair, at least with Garcia there was an alternative in his position.
