"it is better for the game that clubs at the top to be as strong as ever".
And you call us arrogant?.After your month of mourning that you did not make the CL,maybe you should start a petition saying, that only the Sky 4 should be allowed to qualify for CL,no matter where they end up at the end of the season,in the interest of football.

Re: Torres is a done deal

i actually agree with this pool fan about some of the city fans. the arrogance is genuinely embarrassing. we have acheived fuck all yet. i wish it would stop.

however the reactions to mancini's comments re torres are just ridiculous! what did he actually say that was so bad. he said he is a fantastic player (true) and if he were available every club in europe would want him (also true).

done deal for torres..... hahahahaha yeh ok then. more 'itk' bollocks.

Re: Torres is a done deal

Fernando laying the groundwork for his exit out of anfield, a lot of liverpool fans feeling a little less confident of nando staying after these quotes.

I'm not saying this makes our chances any better, just i do think he will leave. For all the posters on here saying Torres is loyal he a "liverpool fan" read this.....

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6114773,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 73,00.html</a>

"If Rafa had not been here I would never have come. He has taught me a lot and he has helped me go beyond my limits and to be the player I am today"

OUCH!

"I just can't imagine what state I'll be in within five or six years if I continue to play here - it could easily give me problems when I stop playing. The physical level is superior to all other countries."

Now i reckon Rafa will leave pool, Fernando will leave too, that last quote would suggest perhaps back to spain although in another article published recently Torres say's he doesn't want to go "home" yet.

You've completely misconstrued my point. For starters, as a football fan for more than the last 5 years...... I don't buy into that sky 4 bollocks. By teams at the top of the table, I mean the top 8 teams, e.g. Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham, Citeh, Villa, Liverpool and Everton. That's what I mean, whats the worth if Liverpool and Utd fall into administration, Arsenal can't compete on finances, and it's left to City and Chelsea to fight for the title each year?? Two clubs, run by sugardaddies buying their way to the top.

Also, For your 10 year plans. The reason why people have a problem with City, for buying their way up, is because your what is known as a '2 minute club', like Chelsea were. Small clubs, who got lucky some rich knob has bought them out, and for a hobby is using you as a play toy to mess around and destroy football. 2 minute club because you've shot to the top in no time, furthermore, there's nothing special about Man city, it could just as easily have been Birmingham, Bolton or Hull. The best teams, Liverpool, United, Leeds, Forest, Arsenal, Everton, the City team of the 60-70's, Tottenham of the 70's, built their clubs up from the ground, scouted talent and moulded successful teams. Yes, since the commercialisation (did I spell that right?) of the top division now known as the Premier League, there has been an unfair distribution of wealth, but if Man United had gone through a string of average managers the likes of Hughes and Mancini, they would not have dominated the top flight despite their wealth. The same with Arsenal and Wenger. Personally, I hope until these Arabs piss off, your project collapses and the sugardaddy phase in football dies out, before it catches on and becomes the norm.

Yes I know I leave myself open to attack, but I can take it. Liverpool are a big power in world football, and we will be back at the top fighting for honours next season, despite your wet dreams of us falling into administration. Just remember something, this is one of our worst ever seasons, and one of your best, and your only 2 points above us. What does that tell you? Enjoy the rest of the season, I hope you don't finish fourth so you can't attack and ruin the transfer market to the same degree as you would with Champions league status. And bring on next season, when Liverpool are back above City, and your fighting for fourth place again. Also, good luck with getting Torres, Fabregas, Ibrahimovich, Buffon, Iniesta(Ive seen somewhere on here?), C.Ronaldo, Di Maria, Kaka again?

Have fun :D

Re: Torres is a done deal

A liverpool fan spouting the " next year Is our year" bollocks!!! ycnmiu

Re: Torres is a done deal

@ the southern Liverpool fan

You're wrong if you think Chelsea are a small club. They are now known across the globe, have a large following and win trophies every year.

Big clubs don't stay big forever and medium sized clubs can become big clubs over time.

I'd rather walk alone than be a scouse.

Lmfao deluded dipper

City small club hahahahahahahahahahahah, Liverpool football super power hahahahahahahahahahah wow this guy is funny as fcuk!!

Last year you over achieved but this year you been found out, your in mega debt with a shite stadium a manager who's offski, Gerrard offski, Torres offski, your owners want mental money for a club not even in Champs League.

You was a very successful club but thats the past, you say we're a 2 minute club? well i hope your still around in 10 years to back that comment up!

Liverpool have spent over 350 million in the last 10 years and we're buying the league? YCNMIU!!

Bitterness and jealousy thats all what this is about!

Yeah, Chelsea - Abramovich = Nothing?

Also Win trophies every year? Since winning the league in 2006, they only won one FA Cup.

Furthermore, Chelsea are not the right idea to follow, look at their financial standing. Without Roman, they would be in Administration as is the losses they have sustained over the last 7 years. Same with yourselves, it's ridiculous how much money you've spent and will do this summer. Along with Real Madrid as well. Will destroy the transfer market. Just attracting the next band of mercenaries to your 'project'. You'll never be able to replicate the kind of magic experienced by Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Forest, Leeds fans over the years. Champions league Quarter finals, Semi finals at Anfield. Champions League finals. Look at Chelsea, they've established themselves, but no-one in England respects them because of how they have got there, who runs their club and their revolving door manager policy.

And trust me, it's far better to be a Red Scouse then a sour, bitter blue Manc living in Fergie's shadow
