"it is better for the game that clubs at the top to be as strong as ever".
And you call us arrogant?.After your month of mourning that you did not make the CL,maybe you should start a petition saying, that only the Sky 4 should be allowed to qualify for CL,no matter where they end up at the end of the season,in the interest of football.

You've completely misconstrued my point. For starters, as a football fan for more than the last 5 years...... I don't buy into that sky 4 bollocks. By teams at the top of the table, I mean the top 8 teams, e.g. Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham, Citeh, Villa, Liverpool and Everton. That's what I mean, whats the worth if Liverpool and Utd fall into administration, Arsenal can't compete on finances, and it's left to City and Chelsea to fight for the title each year?? Two clubs, run by sugardaddies buying their way to the top.

Also, For your 10 year plans. The reason why people have a problem with City, for buying their way up, is because your what is known as a '2 minute club', like Chelsea were. Small clubs, who got lucky some rich knob has bought them out, and for a hobby is using you as a play toy to mess around and destroy football. 2 minute club because you've shot to the top in no time, furthermore, there's nothing special about Man city, it could just as easily have been Birmingham, Bolton or Hull. The best teams, Liverpool, United, Leeds, Forest, Arsenal, Everton, the City team of the 60-70's, Tottenham of the 70's, built their clubs up from the ground, scouted talent and moulded successful teams. Yes, since the commercialisation (did I spell that right?) of the top division now known as the Premier League, there has been an unfair distribution of wealth, but if Man United had gone through a string of average managers the likes of Hughes and Mancini, they would not have dominated the top flight despite their wealth. The same with Arsenal and Wenger. Personally, I hope until these Arabs piss off, your project collapses and the sugardaddy phase in football dies out, before it catches on and becomes the norm.

Yes I know I leave myself open to attack, but I can take it. Liverpool are a big power in world football, and we will be back at the top fighting for honours next season, despite your wet dreams of us falling into administration. Just remember something, this is one of our worst ever seasons, and one of your best, and your only 2 points above us. What does that tell you? Enjoy the rest of the season, I hope you don't finish fourth so you can't attack and ruin the transfer market to the same degree as you would with Champions league status. And bring on next season, when Liverpool are back above City, and your fighting for fourth place again. Also, good luck with getting Torres, Fabregas, Ibrahimovich, Buffon, Iniesta(Ive seen somewhere on here?), C.Ronaldo, Di Maria, Kaka again?

Have fun :D

YNWA!

Leeds, Sunderland, and Notts Forest to name a few, were all big clubs. dont be arrogant enough to think your too big to end up like these. because like it or not your heading in there direction. i`d be sorry to see it happen tbh, as i used to like liverpool quality football. but hey shit happens as they say.

Re: Torres is a done deal

I'm not going to go on about small club big club bollocks cause that's just being a snob. Every club deserves a chance at success

The irony of your posts, the fact they are so arrogant. You say you don't buy into all this small/big club "bollocks", then you name one of the main reasons City are a big club, our success in the 60's and 70's and then go on to call us a small club?.

The response of someone who know's there arguement is useless and has resulted to petty insults.

Your club is in decline, our's is on the up and whilst you are under American ownership you will continue to fall away. There will be no Liverpool comeback next season. "Fact"

A Liverpool fan complaining about arrogance?

As far as Liverpool are concerned, there's only one football club in existence. I don't agree with lording it over most other clubs, but when it's towards the rags and Liverpool I couldn't care less. They've had it coming for years.

Wait for 5 years, for city to win some big trophies, and watch the ego's of Man city and it's fan inflate beyond that of Liverpool and United. Then rethink this comment....
Money or No Money, we are in a far better position now and in the future to challenge the ''big boys'' (Chelsea and Man United) than your deluded club.
Two minute club sooo what? If two minutes means having a better chance to challenge for these honours than you will ever have, i'll take that.

You have foreign owners remember, just like us. The situation is very very different though, and that is what your bitter about. Now run along bitter scum.

Ohhh and tell me, when will Liverpool ever get Iniesta, Fabregas etc...? Never, but you can always dream..

Re: Torres is a done deal

There was once a club that had far more league titles than any other.

It had a stadium to be proud of and was almost a fixture in the European Cup a competition it made its own for several years.

It promoted from within so that managers followed a consistent line and the handover was seamless.

They had a team chock full of irish, scottish, welsh and english players.

They were in short the perfect model for every other club to aspire to be.

Now can I ask you, Mr Proud Scouse where that club is now?

With club up for sale, it's very likely that we will not fall away in the manner you hope. I realise the club is unrealistically valued currently, and can only hope that this issue is resolved in the summer.

Yes I agree, whilst we are under American Ownership we will continue to fall away, and not comeback. However, you know that with new ownership, and reasonable investment we will shoot back up, also no need to say 'Fact', That's a United fan Joke, unless your..... joking

Anyways, I just want to remain positive that our Ownership issues are resolved sooner rather than later, because we will deteriorate into a championship club within a decade. We're not too big, Forest weren't, Leeds weren't, Pompey aren't, Newcastle as well. Like I said before, it is better for football fans that competition and standards remain high. However, does anyone on here not realise the state that United are in? They too must be a club on an imminent decline under the Glazers as well? Or has no-one here picked up on that?

Re: Torres is a done deal

In a couple of years all these Liverpool fans will realise they're a spent force. While we will be on top of the world. :)

I don't think city fans really want to see liverpool fall into oblivion, yeah we wanna see you stuggle just like the stretford rangers, but you have a real issue with lickle city coming along and dismantling the cartel.

You feel frustrated how a club like city can come along and potentially take your best player.

We've had shite for years, it's a lot easier supportiing a succesfull established club, but hey we've stuck wiv city and we deserve our time in the sun.

We are here to stay mate, the owner is different to roman cnut face at chelsea on soooo many levels.

Couldn't agree more mate. Now that the scouse are in decline, they need to take their anger out on somebody. We have suffered those rags winning everything for too long. They do not know what it is like to support a team like city. This is our time to shine and torres would be a good addition to the team. All he is is jealous. Part of me doesnt want to sign torres as I wouldnt give the scouse the money.
