lol funny, but still, if i offered you Tevez, Adebayour, Bellamy, Barry and Given... You would take them in an instant over Babel, Ngog, Rodriquez, Aqualani and a whole host of average players that LFC now have. I couldnt care less how we attract them, the fact is that they are here now, whatever there motives. Just accept that Liverpool are mediocre.
Torres >> Tevez
Torres >>> Adebayor
Bellamy has already been at Liverpool, couldn't cut it
Rodriguez > Bellamy
Gerrard>>>Barry
Mascherano >>> Barry
Reina >> Given

you make me laugh, you must not have thought that comment through :) Too easy.

Also, Man City, making history? You've made fuck all after blowing 300 million.
Also, making? or buying. Anyways, whilst Mancini is at the helm, you won't win anything. Average manager, his inter team got thrashed by Benitez's Liverpool in the Champions League a couple of years ago. He won Serie A post calcipoli, meaning no competition. Imagine, last year if Man United and Chelsea weren't around, Liverpool would have walked the league. same this year for Arsenal.

Anyways, Liverpool are building a youth team for the future, players like Pacheco, Shelvey, Ayala, Dalla Valle, Thomas Ince, Spearing, Sterling amongst other youngsters we're signing are the way forward. Rafa is building for the future, also we will be strenghthening our squad this summer, and with a spine of Reina, Agger, Mascherano, Gerrard,Aquilani, Torres all the team needs is a decent left back, and a decent left winger, a flair player and a backup striker. City don't have one world class player, and your best player Tevez wants out this summer. Real Madrid or Inter possible Suitors. Liverpool are Liverpool, we will be back with a vengeance next year. And we will be at the top for years to come, looking at our academy players. No doubt with Manci...Mansour at City, you'll find yourselves at the top as well. Well, History, tradition, Respect and Paul Scholes in the 93rd minute, there are some things in life that are priceless. For everything else, there's Man citeh[/quote]

haha get a life

Fuckin hell, It beggars belief that you are trying to rub the Scholes goal in. I seem to remember you getting beat of the scum not so long ago. You scousers really aren't that clever are you? There is a reason Maktoum sent the books back to Anfield, YOUR'E FUCKED!! You have a go at us because we got lucky yet if it happened to you then no doubt we would be hearing that famous scouse wit! Go and sell some commemorative plates about your history and sort out your debt and transfer kitty. Good to see you buying for next season already, Jonjo Shelvey ffs!

FERNANDO TORRES IS A BLUE HE HATES SCOUSERS

Re: Torres is a done deal

As a visiting Liverpool fan, I come in peace and am not trying to cause trouble. I was directed onto this transfer board by some mates on another liverpool forum, and basically they said it's a laugh at how almost every thread here is Torres related. I looked on here, and it's true, how many Torres threads have you lot made!?

First things first, congratulations on an excellent season regardless of whether you hit fourth place or not, it's been a real step-up and established yourselves at the top of the table, however, one thing has to be addressed. It is the sheer arrogance that surrounds Eastlands these days, the kind of Arrogance I'm used to dealing with in the red side of Manchester. Mancini's interview the other day has infuriated Liverpool supporters because of how disrespectful you are being in your pursuit of our star player. The Arabs at City are taking it too far, John Terry last summer, Kaka and now Fernando Torres? Your Manager's actions the other day was nothing short of disgraceful, he really shouldn't be discussing his transfer plans to the media. But maybe, that was intended to cause up a stir.

My question is, looking at your current squad, it's got depth and it's decent. Adebayor, Tevez, Bellamy, Santa Cruz when all fit are excellent choices up front. Much better than Liverpool's non existent strike force, that basically is just Torres. So where is the need to spend £100 million pounds on another striker? when you already have a strike force that costed over 100 million to assemble? Tevez and Adebayor are good enough together. Which leads me onto my next point, which is why it is now undeniable that City are destroying football. You have a squad that is practically good enough to challenge for the title, maybe a better creative midfielder, another winger and a better centre back and your practically there. So where's the need for another £200 million summer blowout? Why strip other club's of their star players? To make City dominant worldwide? is that how you build a club to the top? Furthermore, the wages of your players is astronomical and is also disgraceful, I'm not going to go on about small club big club bollocks cause that's just being a snob. Every club deserves a chance at success, however, the way that Man City are going about it is pretty disgraceful and degrading for football. Building a title challenging squad is a 5+ year process, not 2 years. I sincerely hope you fail with your Torres bid, and Liverpool have a chance to rebuild this summer, because it is important to maintain the high standard of competition in the Premiership, I hope this clown Mancini either bucks up his ideas or someone more respectful comes into the job. It isn't the first time he's commented on Liverpool players, and it certainly won't be the last.

The arrogance of fans on here is pretty distasteful and it is inevitable that you are becoming the new united, the team you all universally despise on here.

Perhaps the Guardian can convince our Liverpudlian cousins ?

Yet somehow it is Liverpool, living in fear neither of administration nor relegation, who most starkly express the strange paradoxes of the Premier League. Here is a giant of English football, the proud winner of 18 league championships, seven FA Cups and five European Cups, flashing its knickers by the kerbside in the hope of persuading someone to meet the imminent repayments on an injudiciously incurred £270m debt.

I can't help but feel plagiarised...

...Now, it really will be interesting to see if your comments hold sway after your club has found itself a punter after she's been around trying to garner interest from passers by(there she is shaking her saggy melons at anyone who may look her way). Your two current American pimps have pretty much made your whore of a club(living on wrinkled looks and past glories forgetting it's not her hey day, any more) unattractive.

Now, say some rich punter who has heard of her past rep decides to spend some time with her, would you turn it down?? No. No you fooking wouldn't! Enough analogy.

Re: Torres is a done deal

I got attacked for that comment, I'm defending my team.

Also, yeah we got beat at Old Trafford but we won 4-1 there last season. Also we turned out United 2-0 at Anfield.

As for Fernando Torres, pffft dream on. Go looking for some more Adebayors, toure's, Vieira's, Lescott's and Wayne Bridges. As for a club living in the past, I'll be at Anfield tomorrow helping to raise the atmosphere for another European Semi-final, hoping I get to see my team in another Cup final looking to win the Europa League/Uefa Cup for a fourth time. And before you throw in some jokes about the Europa League, bear in mind your talking about a team that's won the Champions League 5 times and reached 7 finals. Two of those being in the last 5 years, hardly living in the past am I? So it sounds like you lot are bitter, that for all your money spent on players and managers, your actually yet to achieve something, and would be over the moon at just qualifying for the Champions League? Whereas if we do make fourth, or don't I won't be too bothered. What does that tell you?

All this living in the past, City living here and now equates to possible trophies for Liverpool this season? 1.

City? 0 again.
