I'm sure skybet yesterday had him 8-1 coming to city, now as i said i'm not great on odd's but does that mean pit a quid on get 8 back?

I checked skybet yesterday and we was 6/1 along with chelsea.

Knew it was something like that, just looked chelsea are 5/1 us 11/4

the one reason i dont think this will ever happen is the fact that he was interviewed at the time we tried to sign kaka and he slated us stating that money cant buy history. but i may be wrong and i hope i am

Yeah i remember that, fickle footbalers eh? "money can't buy history" I wonder if ppl will say that in 20 years time :)

Re: Torres is a done deal

Right. I didn't WANT to come on this thread as I've posted what I posted the other day. Nothing is absolute and as far I know, this is in the 'process'.

Now, the problem is that this is very much in the Kaka region of speculation, as of now. Will he sign? I think he would. Would his club sell him? Now that is the real question.

It has all the hallmarks of the AC Milan saga where the info got into the public domain before it should have. Now come the denials and 'hands off' warnings. So, we're left with exactly the same position as with Kaka.

We all KNOW the club need the money to rebuild the team and ease the wolfs at the door. Like AC did.

We all KNOW that their fans would, quite possibly, protest by not renewing season tickets. Similar threats to AC.

So they may just follow the AC line and 'cut off their nose to spite their face'.

It's a tough call to make for that club.

Having said that, Taggart said the same about Tranny. But he's like the Pied Piper to the Scum fans.

Rafa is not.

If we sign him and a tweak here and there in other positions then we will be title contenders. I am sure that Torres recognises this. It will be one season, tops. Its not the be all and end all and its not like Liverpool would be in a position to win the champs league or the prem (if by some miracle they qualify).

Thank you for saving me the bother of posting very similar thoughts.
