But tribalism is different to all-out venom. Be our rivals, fine. I'm not sure it would ever be the most dynamic of rivalries, but I have no real objection it. But it has to be a respectful rivalry. Based on the idea that we're both a part of football and that without one or the other, football would be a lesser thing.

Arsenal look the most likely as I believe their defence is equally as poor as Tottenham's and in those games where that goal just won't come they will find themselves dropping points more often than not. Spurs for me are currently at their peak attacking wise and still struggle to beat teams, while Arsenal play some brilliant football, if they know they're in for a tough game some of their players often go missing and when really up against it, look very poor at the back. Both teams IMO look very beatable and I think get a bit too much respect from opposition, look how easy it was for Bolton to get at Spurs, West Brom at the Emirates. Look at it this way, there is probably only 1 player from each team who would get in our starting line up - compare that with how many would get in there's from us, Chelsea and the rags.
Us on the other hand are still coming together as a team and are set up completely different. While we don't create as many chances I think once the team gels in an attacking sense (like at Fulham) on a consistent basis and with our superior defence over both Spurs and Arsenal we will pull away. Then should we look to add maybe a couple of players over the Jan transfer window, to add some more attacking options then we won't be to far from the top of the league. We are definitely just a couple of games away from really getting it together and being what the manager wants us to be. I have huge faith in the way Mancini is trying to mould us in to a strong powerful unit that is really difficult to beat, we literally are just around the corner from being as decisive in our attack as we generally are at the back.

I think you listen to stupid pundits too much, both Arsenal and Spurs have something City lacks which is why teams give them so much respect....pace. Arsenal are the best away team in the league by some distance, which tells you in an open game we are more likely to win than most teams. We have conceded 5 goals more than you, but has scored 12 goals more than you as well. So the gap between our attack is bigger than the gap between our defence. We also conceded less than you last season and you have the same centre halves as last season, the only reason why you have conceded less than us this season is you have 3 defensive midfielders playing most games, we simply commit alot more players than you
