I think the rule is something like - if the referee didn't see the incident but now having seen it he would have given a yellow - it will be not be pursued.

IF he gets banned it's his own stupid fault, for a 30 year old he's so childish at times, how often does he get booked for slamming the ball into the ground after a decision goes against him? The manager should be having a not so quiet word with him.

A lot of players do it, especially the big players as they think they can boss the ref around. Counter-productive
On the other hand it's good that the guys has got a heart in his head. I'd be a bit worried if our players weren't getting frustrated when game aren't going their way
