Of course he'll get banned. However hard he did it, he deliberately kicked out at another player. Violent conduct, 3 game ban, cya Yaya f*ckin childish idiot. To all those who are pointing their moaning fingers at the media, they didn't control his leg during the incident, he did. Great timing to lose him if he does get banned with Ferdy out...

I've got every right to be annoyed by the media, as it only seems to be when they say see fit that they highlight off the ball incidents to ensure a ban is given. How often has Rooney elbowed players and after the game it's not spoken about, not shown on MOTD or SkySports News on loop?

I'm not condoning what Yaya did by any means, it was stupid and reactionary. But, would that have been Rooney then I think it would only be being discussed on here by ourselves rather than MOTD talking about it and it being in the papers tomorrow.

That's my frustration.

Spot on. It's only ever the ones highlighted by motd or ssn which the FA look at. So the media basically decide who gets a ban and who does not. Funny how none of Rooneys kick outs this season have not been picked up.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

I have to say my immediate reaction was he'll get banned.
To be honest had the ref seen it then I think he would've got a yellow.
But that's the problem with these retrospective cards, the emotion and the understanding of the actual match goes out of the window.
So does common sense.

I'm not sure of the procedure, but do they ask 'Was that a red?' or 'if you'd seen it would you have issued a card and if so what colour?'
Two very different questions.
Moss is fairly new to the Prem and will be desperate to suck up to the FA bosses and show he takes no messing, regardless of who the player is and his status.

I also think the FA will be making sure they don't leave themselves open to any accusations of favouring certain teams.
We all know it's bollocks cos it wasn't a red IMHO.
Throw in the fact the it might p1ss one club off (us), but stop managers like moaninho, Wenger, Fat Sam etc... going on about double standards at the FA and they'll be keen to act and silence their ever growing list of critics.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

Had the ref seen the incident it probably would be a red card.
Package it up whichever way a player at EPL level should have the self control & should know that cameras are everywhere.Incidents of this kind will be picked up and again its no point blaming the likes of MOTD its their job to highlight such matters.
It all goes back to the Chelsea game and the ripples continue. On the 15th it would be crazy to play the likes of Toure his head, and I suspect some others is in a not so good place

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

He barely touched him and vanshitname should be ashamed of himself for his reaction to it! However, it was a very petulant thing to do from Yaya. I think he deserves a ban for being such a dick and doing it.

He's got this side to him and displays it with his throwing of the ball to the floor or trying to leg-up a player when he's run past him and moaning at his teammates when he's the one in the wrong.

I love Yaya but I've always thought he has this about him and he does show it from time-to-time.

-- Sun Feb 09, 2014 8:47 am --

The media made a big deal about Rooney's elbow on a Wigan player two years ago, the kick out on the Montenegrin and the kick out against Cardiff earlier in the season. You've got very selective attention if you don't remember the constant furor about all of those incidents.

Are you all mad? If that deserves a red card footballs turned to shite

How many games did that dirty thug who put Nasri out for months miss? These are the players that need banning.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

He was a silly sod and i wouldn't be surprised if the FA haul him up over it.

Don't need silly shit like this at the moment, were lagging already as it is.

The problem we have is with Yaya himself.Far to often we see him involved in these types of silly niggles and for someone with so much experience you`d think he`d know better.
Agreed; he does seem to have this childish, petulant streak in him. I can't figure out why he does stuff like that. It's not like he's a kid any more, he's 30 years old. As for those who said he barely touched the Norwich player; that's very true. He touched him about as much as Andy Carroll touched the Swansea defender. He got sent off and had his appeal overturned, presumably because there was intent. Yaya certainly didn't kick the bloke by accident yesterday, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a ban. Hopefully, if he does get banned, he'll learn from it.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

May be blessing disguise if ban doesnt extend to Champions league...we would have him fresh and charged up against Barca and hes a machine who can change the game when unleashed
