Training Moved To Etihad Day Before Matches

I don't see any negatives to this. Not sure what the positives are either tbf ... but why not try it.

Yep, a bit more privacy for working on aspects to implement on match day.
Positive move, another example of Pellers making his mark

Would put it past them to hire those giant cherry pickers to tower over the stands the wankers

Didn't they take care of that for this season?

I swear I heard something like that in the 'Pellegrini's First Day' video.

No

"Ok lads you can open your eyes now. This..." dramatic sweep of the arm "...is the Etihad. You will be playing a lot of games here so get used to it, familiarize yourself with it, make it your second home. As you can see there are stands all the way round..." a babble of excited astonishment breaks out "...yes, yes I know its impressive, but don't be daunted its going to our stage now. Own it. Be at one with it. With me now. Hold hands and get into a circle and lets sing the team song

'Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya

Someone's crying, Lord, kumbaya
Someone's crying, Lord, kumbaya
Someone's crying, Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya...' "

Yeah ok I'm sold. Should do wonders for our home form.

PMSL!!

me too! ;-)

Carrington is a shambles its got more holes in it than a sieve

Obviously this is the only logical reason and the one which makes most sense. Why the players would have to get used to their home stadium, is beyond me too.

What are the positives if I may ask?
A feel for the stadium?
A feel for the pitch?
A feel for positional play on that pitch?

That's just 3 off the top of my head and i'm sure someone with far more footballing knowledge than me will be able to come up with more.
The pitch is identical to Carrington's.

I don't see any negatives, but I very highly doubt it will have an effect. Don't buy the arguments, either, but I'll just sit and observe if it makes a difference.

For me it's comfort. I always personally played better on pitches I was most familiar with and when I arrived early for matches and had a long warm up. Think it sets the tone.

No.

Maybe I'm too dumb to understand, but shouldn't we already be familiar with our home pitch anyway given we play a minimum of 19 games a season on it? Unless it's a case of getting the players away from the glare of the press at Carrington?
