Also means there will be at least one day that the journos can't photograph our training sessions.
Would put it past them to hire those giant cherry pickers to tower over the stands the wankers

But we've got one there now anyway haven't we? I'm sure that a new crane tower was hovering over the North Stand at the last home match............... it was mentioned on here a few times. ;-)

However, back to the main topic. I think it is a great idea, they are away from the journalists and they can train in private on their own pitch so why not?

We've come a long way since Joe Royle used to take the players to a local school in a mini bus for the pre match warm ups before games at Maine Road as they were intimidated by the ground haven't we!

It wasn't because they were intimidated, they were trying out a method used in the states that they would be more psyched up to play when they first see the crowd.
Didn't work either way though!

The dreaded pig farmer must be out again in Carrington this morning, the wind is in the right direction and we can smell it again in Urmston, the players will be glad they are away from it today i know i would

Wonder what the groundsman will think of it when it's been pouring down on a Friday in January?

I remember being stood outside Maine Rd pre match and the mini bus just used to weave its way through the crowd to get to the entrance. I'll never forget one particular match when some of the players were waving to the fans and I just saw the look on George Weah's face was a picture. You could see he was thinking "I'm a former world player of the year, what the hell am I doing in a school mini bus"

We got promoted twice under Royal so how do you know it didn't work?

I think it's just a matter of the players getting more familiar with the place. Personally think it's a good idea.
