The actual wait time between the end of the game and getting on the tram was 30 minutes with only 3 trams turning up in that time. I tried it as an experiment as I was in no rush to get back but the upshot is that I calculated I could have walked it back to Piccadilly and been there ten minutes earlier. Many will think the same and, as such, I would expect the queues to be a bit smaller next time around.
What a pointless system. Why the hell can't they put a few specials on the line just after the match and just before the match instead of sticking to the 6 minute service?

According to another forum, they had a points failure which caused a 5 minute delay after the game. Everywhere was clear 30 minutes after the final whistle

does anybody know if a wayfarer ticket can be used to the ground on the tram? the wayfarer map includes most of the tram network but not the etihad.i assume this is just because the map hasnt been updated, but im not sure, thanks in advance

It's a fiver in a taxi or a twenty minute walk. £3 on the Met is cheap enough and quick enough to use every time, for me.

Thinking of doing this on sunday - was city square packed or was it easy enough to get a pint?
it was pretty packed bainy, no crowd at the metro 45 mins after the end of the game though. Think the zig zagging barriers are way too much really annoying and not needed at all.

They will be when 58,000 drunken women come out of the Robbie Williams concerts and half of em want to use the tram

Exactly... the nightmares from the take that gigs are being remembered by gmp & transport.

I like the Tram, but then again I get on at Bury when its empty.

City square was double busy last week, I just put this down to it being sunny and FA Cup rather than tram use.
