This is a serious question, why dont City employ their own security for matchdays? Why do we let a huge company like Showtec do it? If we had our own in house security that was recruited for matchdays and events it would be on a more personal level. Also the same security people would be in the same places and the crowd would get to know them. Surely this must be considered after the events of yesterday?

Because they would only be working/getting paid once a week/fortnight...

So what? It a weekend job not exactly something full time! Also you get to see city play. Surely its cheaper than paying Showtec?

From personal experience Fletcher is a liar, he will lie and lie when backed into a corner, unfortunatley when he tried it with me i had the evidence to back my claim up and when presented with a letter from my solicitor he shit himself, backed down and ate a large serving of humble pie.

Re: Ejections in 109

I'm in 216 and couldn't believe what I was seeing. The early gossip was that a Villa fan had jumped the barrier and attacked random Blues but reading the reports on here has made by blood boil. Stewards are employed to preserve the enjoyment of the match and ensure everyone is safe throughout - yet their doing the exact opposite. I'm delighted that the Steward who threw a punch has been arrested and I hope he gets severely punished. It's about the one positive from an absolute sham.

I think these 2 threads tie in well together.

If Showsec continue to act like they have been doing there will be a full scale riot, and although 96 people is maybe an exageration, someone is seriously going to get hurt or killed.

One of my friends was ejected from the South Stand Lower for smoking in the toilets at half time. He does smoke but swears blind he wasn't. He wouldn't lie to me about something like that. It took numerous calls and a written letter before the 3 match ban was lifted. The same situation happened to a Lad on here who went to the MuEN with his story yet City would not listen.

Showsec must go.

The steward who has hold of the old guys wrist is an evertonian fact !

He's the guy I mentioned earlier in the thread who use to be in 116 wen I was over there, he seemed like a decent lad an even yesterday he came over to talk to me and he said he wasn't involved, well mate that video proves otherwise an the **** will be bang to rights on Tuesday mark my words!!

i seen a steward go out of his way to hit a fan . And he got a few back ..he desreved it and a bit more ..they were out of order

Yep, it was the one at the start of one of the you tube vids described as a "Neville" lookalike.

He lashed out at around 3 or 4 fans about 8 rows up the steps before retreating back to safety.
