Perl Harbour death toll: 2350
Hiroshima and Nagasaki: 150,000

Still not that shocked at some of their comments to be honest. You kind of expect it, especially from a country where only 37% of the population have a passport!

Also they probably dont know where Pearl harbour is!!! Almost 70 years ago nearly nobody is still alive from that day!!

Just heard a nuclear consultant on BBC News explaining what happened at the power plant.

The safety systems felt the earthquake and shut the reactors down straight away.
However, this was replicated at all the power plants in Japan, so the national grid suddenly collapsed as the power supply was severly interupted.
The nuclear power plants, ironically, thus had a power cut and the pumps that send water around the reactor failed.
However, the diesel generators kicked in and the pumps started up to cool the reactor.
Then the tsunami hit and knocked out the generators.

Surely. Surely. Surely. Someone must have thought that this scenario may happen, and there wasn't just the diesel generators as the only backup?!
