This is the thing that's surprised me most. I find it hard to believe there's only one set of back-up generators.

I don't hate them, but feck me the stupid ones are so ill informed, it's a real joke! Fine, Pearl Harbour happened, but that was in a time of war and Japan have been punished ten fold, since then.
I don't have Facefook, but if I did, I'd reply to many of those fooking clowns.

I think it's unfair to generalise the USA's viewpoint based on a few less intelligent members of their society. Every country has them. I have a lot of American friends at university who have no ill-feelings towards Japan and are just as horrified by goings on as the rest of us.
The problem is, that time and time again, the USA is let down by the same minority of super-patriotic neanderthals. They don't represent the nation but many of them have a platform to air their views which is picked up on by the rest of the world.

The Nuclear power plant doesnt have a power cut it automatically shuts down during an earth quake to protect itself the diesel geneartors are supposed to kick in and pump the cooling fluid.
