Utopia, very, very good.
Yeah very good. Gillian Anderson is also very very good. The Fall. Wow. Very dark and what an ending
Very different but enjoyed it.Better than UK version?
Well said Gordon, GA does wear a silk blouse with a certain panache. Beats Juliet Bravo any day!Yeah very good. Gillian Anderson is also very very good.
The rampant sexism got to me though, not a single male was prtrayed as anything other than stupid/crass/evil/bumbling/etc and I think every femal was portrayed as a step above their male counterparts.
I totally am all for sexual equality but that wasnt it, it was sexist revenge where women win and men fail. The scene where she picks a lower rank male to fuck - wtf.... if a man did that it would be villified, if a colleague arranged for a "female" officer to be brought onto the team for a male officer to screw it would be wrong - Not if a woman does it. wtf? I just dont understand that, it is wrong whomever does it.
Then, in its clamour to fight back against social injustice it manages to portray nearly every fat person as a bit of a clutz, or a little bit stupid or bumbling. tbh I think it went ott with the "men are just abhorations of nature" line.
Nonetheless I think it was a brilliant series, the intensity was gripping, gillian Anderson was and is brilliant (We saw her in Street Car and she's got a big range of acting skills.
Not watched S3 yet, it seems to be being dragged out, will watch it one day and maybe that series undoes all the above I moaned bout but next going to watch Des. Anyone seen that? Worth it?
