TV Series

1883, 1923, Yellowstone are all a 10/10 for me.

Also if anyone has Kodi or a VPN you can watch a documentary on Paramount. Canada called 11 minutes. It tells the story from the scene of the mass shooting in las Vegas and the Mandalay hotel in 2017. It's absolutely harrowing as most of the people there were recording the concert on their phones so the whole shooting is recorded and also bodycams of the police officers who were called to the scene. Some suffered gunshots as it was being recorded. It's as real as real can get like you are there with them. I actually cried at some of it

Not really given it started at 10pm

(as i stated a couple of pages back)
Quite right. Must have misread the schedule.

Nearly missed it myself but switched to Ch5+1.

Apologies to anyone who didn’t get to see it.

Thought the first episode was quite good but required some suspension of disbelief. Stallone very impressive, though.

I know what you mean.
I studied history and the Flintstones drives me mad - dinosaurs and mankind at the same time (wtf!) they were many millions of years apart.

Makes me shake my fist at the sky!

And there’s nowhere, not even in the credits, where they explicitly point out that it’s not a documentary.

I can’t even watch top cat (I’ve known cats and they don’t talk) ;-)

PS. Joking aside, I nearly went offshore myself, many years ago. Did the survival training at the RGIT (great fun) but the accommodation rig was held up, due to a strike at Camel Lairds, so they put me on standby money for 8 weeks. I’d not jacked my old job so I got paid twice every week for a while and by the time they’d sorted it out I’d moved on again and got a job with better pay on dry land.
You should have shaken your fist at a cloud mate never mind the sky, that's what I did and immediately felt better,I even got my photo and my story in the local paper

Finished Willow last night.

As somebody noted earlier, Warwick Davis' acting is an issue - he wasn't bad all the time, just wooden about 50% of the time and he did improve as the series progressed. Sadly, this is far from the biggest issue with the series.

Most of the cast speak American teenager, like, and the light comedy tone throughout just got on my nerves by the end of things.

But the biggest issue is the musical cues - somebody at Disney should be sacked for that: A decent cover of "Enter Sandman" was just about OK, somebody ruined "Black Hole Sun" and who thought it was a great idea to end one episode with "Good Vibrations"? Great song but WHY? The biggest crime was "Money For Nothing" at the end of the last episode. What on earth does a song about "Installing microwave ovens" and playing "the guitar on the MTV" have to do with a fantasy series? That's before we start on some of the more questionable lyrics.

It's a shame because I thought it started well, and the locations and the visuals were great throughout.

You are really selling it mate.

Might bump it down the list.

Finished 1899 last night. Slow burner but enough to keep you interested. Still dont really have a clue what happened or what anything means but it was a solid enough watch. Similar to Westworld I guess
