TV Series

Over the last few days we have just done a re-run of this series that is an unsettling and intracate journey inside genocide you could ever wish to watch.

Exterminate All the Brutes

“The very existence of this film is a miracle,” says its creator, Raul Peck in the final episode of Exterminate All the Brutes—and that might be an understatement. A four-part experimental documentary that takes on the unwieldy, bitterly contentious subject of white supremacy since the so-called Age of Discovery, Brutes is unorthodox in both content and style. Drawing heavily on the work of leftist academics, the series also incorporates scripted passages and animations that serve as guided meditations on human suffering more than as visual aids. It may well be the most politically radical and intellectually challenging work of nonfiction ever made for television.

Looks v interesting.

God I'm enjoying the Leftovers (and the first season is supposedly the weakest).
Seems to have a bit of all the best TV in one and then some more.

Damon Lindelof the creator (no relation to Tyler) was also being the Watchmen which I also thought was incredible, brilliant and unusual.

I watched The Leftovers a few years back.
When I was watching it I thought it was just ok.
It was only when I finished it I thought, actually that was excellent.
I also loved the music score they did for it. I still sometimes listen to it on YouTube.

Stranger Things Season 4 Vol 2 was entertaining. Season 4 has been by far the best one for me.

The Boys is what I’m currently watching. Homelander is a great baddie. The guy who plays him does a fantastic job. Can’t believe it’s the same guy in Banshee.

Wow...never realised that til your post.

5 episodes in to Pistol now on Disney. Did anyone on here ever see The Pistols? Every gig they played in this drama seemed to be played in front of 100-200 people. Did they every get a decent crowd before their reunion ?

Stranger Things has turned into an absolute slog. Needs to finish.
They're trying too hard. If it wasn't for the music it'd just be shite. Siouxie and the Banshees, Spellbound. Excellent.

Anyone else find the Lincoln Lawyer a bit cheesy and underwhelming. I was expecting a gritty thriller but it all felt a bit 80’s to me

6.5 / 10

Not a big fan of the sex pistols,

but from what I can remember is they only played small venues to small crowds at first, but then got some little fame for none music stuff like crowd trouble and just being punks then it went tits up after that tv show on the bill grundy show and got banned in most places in the UK so did a tour of the USA, and it went sour

that one album and all the noise around the punk explosion and malcolm mclaren selling his arse to anybody that would listen

Really enjoyed the first half of series 4 but 2nd half has a lot of unnecessary fillers.

Could have been a 10/10 10 x 1 hour episode series.

When I listen to it now it’s just a load of noise. Some of the lyrics are absolute shite. However I was around 7/8 at the time and for some reason I was into Punk and I can’t think why! My grandad used to stay up and tape the John Peel show for me and I had tapes with bands like X Ray Specs, the Damned, Buzzcocks, Clash and the like on that he taped for me. I can’t remember why I was into it though. I had Silly Thing on vinyl which I know was a bit later but I must have bought that myself aged around 9. I was intrigued by Friggin in the Riggin! I wish my memory would go back that far and explain why I got into them! I must have been influenced by them in some way. My mum said I dyed my teddy bears hair orange and
Cut all its clothes up to look like a punk! Most have been a right weird kid me! Ha ha
