TV Series

Just finished Say Nothing. I thought it was very good. Explained a lot of stuff that I never understood. But how much is actually true I don't know.

I think if you put aside what was really true it was a good story about how people's are shaped and very often change over time.

It also shows the importance of the truth to those directly hurt by something. Whereas to others the truth in their eyes could be potentially lethal to the wellbeing of the wider community.

In any case long live peace up there.

Its all true.

The Madness [2024, USA] - with Colman Domingo as a writer/TV presenter, watched the first episode which is a very watchable and slick conspiracy thriller with elements of No way out/Fugitive.

The Agency
[2024, USA] - espionage thriller, basically workings of CIA London desk, I think it is much better than I read in mixed reviews

I had to re-watch with my wife Slow Horses S01 over Xmas, didn't like it so much this time.

But my guilty pleasure is watching Netflix Chef's Story series.

Chefs table ?

I stupidly decided to binge watch Gangs of London, it was going all right for a few episodes even though the violence was well over the top. It then went downhill culminating in series 2 especially the final episodes being absolutely dog shit.

I judge myself harshly for seeing it through.

2 episodes into series 3 of 'From' and just feels like more of the same. More bat shit crazy storylines just making it more and more fragmented and no answers to anything. I don't want to stop watching it yet, but i can feel 9.9 episodes of the same and then a last 5 minute cliff hanger.

Just stick with it, S03 is much better than S02, you'll finally get some answers and it ends really good - well not so if you are.... ;).

Have up on it, that pub scene in one of the first episodes was like the matrix. Shite.
Love/hate is far superior.

Yeah season one was decent two well over the top rubbish oh there is a 3rd season coming out later this year

Just finished S9 of BBC1’s Shetland.
Formulaic who done it with several of the main characters being dismissed with a peripheral character the guilty party.
Ashley Jensen has breathed some life into the show but Steven Robertson (Sandy) is one of the worst actors ever. Expressionless and monotone, a cardboard cut out would be better.
