TV Series

Reading back a few pages I've noticed JUSTIFIED being mentioned a few times.
It's been out a decade and totally passed me by. Six seasons to binge if it's decent.
Season One of Justified starts out as a "fugitive of the week" show while carefully fleshing out the other characters, and slowly world building the setting of Harlan County. However, there's an episode in S1 "Hatless" where the main protagonist Raylan Givens loses his trademark hat in a bar fight. "Can you keep it down? I didn't order assholes with my whiskey" and he then spends the rest of the episode trying to get his hat back, and that's when the series "clicked" for me.

"Hey Mister, that's a 10 gallon hat on a 20 gallon head."

The first of many.

Watched episode 1 last night.

Its extremely scouse but if you can brush over that it’s good so far.

Mad watching the girl from Derry Girls playing a scouse gold digger.
I've watched a few and the scouse bingo lingo is off the scale la'. Get ballied up, in his ken, sound lad, go' ed lad, calm down, aul' fella etc. The curly haired lad is chewing wasps, should have gone for a muzzer for the full look. Good to have some diversity with a Scottish maw and Yorky dad though.

I watched it a long time ago and it’s still one of my main recommendations. My advice is stick with it in the first season, it is a bit formulaic and I know a few people that didn’t make it past it.

If you do, you’re in for an absolute treat. The rest of the seasons are all superb.

It's next on my list after I finish Tin Star. Thanks for the review

Don't usually watch cartoons but Common Side Effect I like

Been watching this myself after bypassing the TV poster for it. But your recommendation kept coming back to me and so I investigated it.

It's... brilliant!

It's reminding me of 'Scavenger's Reign' with the animation type, so it drew me in from the off. But, unlike 'SR', this could easily be adapted to be a live version with a few script changes.

In my brain I can see Zack Galifianakis in the lead role of 'Marshall Cuso'!!

Great pick out, @waspish!

Last episode of series 2 of Severance was fantastic, absolutely amazing show hidden away on Apple TV, The last of us series 2 isn't far away and also Andor final season plus we get a new Witcher very soon but it will probably be shit

I watched the first season of Slow Horses this week.

6 episodes.

The way people go on about Slow Horses in here I was expecting some of the best TV ever!

It was ok. Maybe seasons 2,3 and 4 are better but after just one season I can’t say I’m its biggest fan. Just thought it was ok.

Enjoyed Slow Horses, didn't think it was as good as the hype, season 1 was the best......just, possibly because it was "new". Generally all 4 seasons are on a similar level for me.
