Did a 5 year tour over there in the late 80's with the R.A.F so was looking forward to watching this but after reading the reviews, it looks like its sympathetic to the main characters so will give it a miss.

Maybe watch it and just see for yourself and ignore reviews. Its a very delicate, complicated, damaging, difficult period of history of peoples lives and it reflects all that. Just watch it, it is compelling viewing imho

It didn't, it was put on an indefinite hiatus but never actually cancelled like so many other Netflix shows.

Allegedly cost a lot of money for something that was more of a sleeper hit for them which was hard for netflix to justify but main reason was fincher had other projects he was tied to.

Watched first episode of Last Samurai Standing! Different to what I thought it would be.. very good the 1st episode lets see if it continues this way..

It's not bad but certainly not as good as I was expecting.

Rewatching Mr Mercedes on Netflix.

Aside from a few pacing issues, the first season is excellent. Gleeson and Treadaway are particularly good in their roles.
