It didn't, it was put on an indefinite hiatus but never actually cancelled like so many other Netflix shows.wow!! loved this never understood why it got cancelled
Allegedly cost a lot of money for something that was more of a sleeper hit for them which was hard for netflix to justify but main reason was fincher had other projects he was tied to.

Agreed. It's brilliant. Nobody gets an easy ride.Maybe watch it and just see for yourself and ignore reviews. Its a very delicate, complicated, damaging, difficult period of history of peoples lives and it reflects all that. Just watch it, it is compelling viewing imho

Thats my plan, hope its as good as everyone is making out.I love it. But I wish I'd waited until after Christmas to binge all the episodes together. I think it'd have been more enjoyable that way.

I’ve just started watching this week and really enjoying it. Slow at times, but I don’t mind that. Not sure how they are going to drag out 3 series though if it’s all about Mr Mercedes.Rewatching Mr Mercedes on Netflix.
Aside from a few pacing issues, the first season is excellent. Gleeson and Treadaway are particularly good in their roles.
