Agreed. It's brilliant. Nobody gets an easy ride.Maybe watch it and just see for yourself and ignore reviews. Its a very delicate, complicated, damaging, difficult period of history of peoples lives and it reflects all that. Just watch it, it is compelling viewing imho

Thats my plan, hope its as good as everyone is making out.I love it. But I wish I'd waited until after Christmas to binge all the episodes together. I think it'd have been more enjoyable that way.
Great concept though.

Aside from a few pacing issues, the first season is excellent. Gleeson and Treadaway are particularly good in their roles.

Been watching it for the first time and finished season 1 last season. Thought it was great. Little bit concerned season 2 and 3 might see a drastic drop off with the way season 1 ended all nicely but it deserves a shot after a very enjoyable season 1.Rewatching Mr Mercedes on Netflix.

1 3 2 are the order I rate them, you have to accept a rather large impossibity for season 2 which irked me a little at first.

The problem with it is that they pad it all out with meaningless scenes and the series in its entirety could have been put in an hours worth of filming.
What we learned was the "Clown" lives in the drains and native Americans love graveyards.
