I can think of a whole list of reasons of why the squad is what it is this season ,some reasons will be right some wrong. Whatever the reasons though losing Rodri for a whole season is unfortunate, all the attacking players except Haaland forgetting how to score is a bit odd.Yes. Because of Pep, Khaldoon and the fact we seem to generate enough cash to at least compete with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern for signings.
If we don’t win it this year that’s okay and 3 or 4 changes in the summer when maybe KDB,Walker, Gundogan move on we’ll be ready to go again.
It isn’t about competing with other teams for signings we never really have, just bringing in the right ones when we can, sure we will.
I won’t be losing any sleep over an average season if that’s how it turns out. Certainly won’t be looking to dish out blame on those that have delivered the last 10 years.
