Txiki Begiristain

We all knew this would happen. was pretty clear when we realised, bony, mangala etc were guff that we would struggle to offload them because of the £100,000+ a week wages they are on. Now we're left subsidising wages even when they no longer play with us. It's a terrible business model, but it was to be expected

Did I say that? No.

Nasri's stock has fallen because he's getting old, has been out for a year, and before that he had an indifferent season.

Right, we're on the same page then. Sorry for the assumption, I made it because you seemed to be contradicting my point about Nasri's form in relation to a discussion I was having in regards Pellegrini being blamed for our player's stock falling. Apologies again.

Have just seen on Sky that Bony, Hart, Mangala and Nasri are all completing loan deals today - Bony is at Stoke. These things do not get sorted out in a few mins so Txiki will have been sounding people out for a while.

So it looks like we end the window with everything sorted apart from YaYa - so will Txiki get full credit from the doubters now???

You having a laugh? They still haven't ( and probably never will ) forgave him for Mancini's sacking.

I am not sure if we should give him credit for loan deals where we ended up paying around 50% of our players salary.

We couldn't sell any player for a good price, Liverpool sold Joe Allen for 13m and Benteke for 32m !

Surely what Pep wants - and we fans should surely want the same (IMO) - is the players he wants in and those he does not want around out so he can keep the squad spirit positive - that is fully achieved apart from YaYa - which is not resolvable without us giving him a massive pay-off.

People need to worry about what they personally want to - but I think some seem to need to find things to worry about.

I agree with this. Not txiki biggest fan but if we have to take a hit on salaries/player values in order to get the squad shaped in pep's image then it is a (relatively) small price worth paying.

Put it this way, in April when a happy, refreshed, all-working-together squad of players has won the league we'llall be delighted.

No offence mate I think we have bought fantastically well this summer but to suggest he is doing well by loaning out the England Keeper and 90 million pounds worth of talent, while subsidising there wages is ridiculous.

It only shows we have overpaid on players and paying wages far in excess of what other clubs would be prepared to pay. Two of those players were bought in the last two seasons for a combined 68 million and no one is prepared to buy or pay there wages.

haha mangala and bony cost 60 million and we've ended up loaning them out and paying their wages ffs

Not really got any strong feeling towards Txiki one way or the other although I think the transfer strategy of the club before this summer had been really poor.
