But come on, did he need scouts recommendation for well known players ( Walker, Stones, Bernardo, Mendy, Leroy, Danilo,Rodrigo, Cancelo....etc ) ?


Maybe scouts have bigger role for the academy recruitment, but I am not sure they have the same role for the 1st team.

Txiki isn’t to blame, we’re still that we’ll run club we have been for over a decade now. We just have to find that recruitment formula we started with. Having 3 top strikers with different abilities at their peak again wouldn’t be bad either.

The fact we haven't and have gone backwards in the past two seasons is down to recruitment and the " formula " and Txiki is part of that.

We aren'thaving a squad with 3 top class strikers in it, any more than any other club that plays 1 striker will. Best if we all understand that as a starting point.
