Txiki Begiristain

Hmmmm - having read my post back and chatted with a few fans here at the ticket pick up point - if I say so myself it made better points than I had realised.

Even more the case after reading your - let's call it a 'reply'

... thank you, I can now add the meaningless from any analytical perspective at all "the feedback I am getting from Blues at the match" response to the list.

Look I understand what you are saying, but it's a football forum for people to discuss and complain. Lighten up, even the moaners want the same success as the happy clappers. At least try some original arguments, though. Those you used were abandoned by even the self-appointed Bluemoon cognoscenti months ago.

Look - not looking for a head to head here - but try and look in the mirror and read your own posts back. I have given my opinion - and your posts are only cementing it.

To change my opinion try:

I) tell me who are the players you would have bought that Tixiki should have ?

ii) how are you confident that we would have got them - perhaps the Woodward approach of open cheque book and bend over backwards beause we need to please armchair fans

iii) the players you would not have bought - with good reasons rather than simple stuff from the Delph thread. Mangala and Oremendi for example were amongst the most sought after players in Europe and we got them. So apart from convenient hindsight please explain how your business and football acumen would have done better - and if you could not have done - who could have? - and why are you suggesting you are qualified to slag Txiki off?

And by the way - your answers are sounding increasingly shallow and lacking in content so if possible try and avoid a glib and shallow reply.

I am not seeking to pick some argument with you but you are coming across as arguing because you do not like people challenging your opinion - rather than giving quality input

Paella has just turned up

If anyone is watching the same game as me, there shouldn't be much of this lot here next season. But whoever is responsible for buying the majority of this rabble needs shooting.

almost wish we weren't getting Pep so we could sack him.

To put together such an unbalanced and poorly assembled squad with an unlimited budget save for one summer is incredible.

I just cant see how Mangala, Otamendi fitting the type of CB's Guardiola really likes. Not good on the ball, no good passing range, bad long pass skills, not technical defenders at all, kind of rush style sometimes.

And now we are probably facing the consequence of this that we may have to spend another 40-45 m pounds on Laporte, Stones each.

Yet Txiki who knew exactly what kind of CB's are good for Guardiola sanctioned and actually delivered both Mangala and Otamendi maybe far above their real worth.

Or take Bony, another 30m wasted on someone just not fitting Guardiola's system or Pelle's system either. Yet we wanted him as he was top scorer for Swansea in calender year.

Imo we should have a squad lot closer to what Guardiola really needs than what we have if we are actually clever in the market in terms how much we spent. All this without building a squad against Pellegrini.
