Whichever way you look at it - 36 teams neatly divides into 2 leagues of 18 down the line, sounds vaguely familiar.They possibly intend to have intergroup games a bit like AFL. So you play the five teams in you group once and one team from each of the other 5 groups which gives 10 games one assumes five home and five away. 6 group winners and the two highest placed teams finish second go through. The next 16 places fill up the play-off positions. Which means you could finish fourth in your group of 6 and still get through to the next phase. The bottom 12 teams will be eliminated.
This will, without a doubt, result in the Super League no supporters wanted
