Spoke to someone pretty well connected at City earlier, and he said that the feeling within the club was that the hearing had gone really well. Could of course mean nothing, as the arbitrators have only just started their deliberations, but it sounds promising so thought it was worth sharing.
Cheers Ric, was it Ezzy you spoke to by any chance?

They are saying decision to be made in August.
July

Only the Claremont Road end surely??

Ha! I went to Claremont school and had a friend on Cowsbury (sic) Street?

We lived directly off Maine Road opposite the Main Stand.

I used to do a paper round for Jimmy Murphy the former no.2 to Busby? A lovely bloke.

He owned a newsagents on Claremont Road (shops just beyond Kippax Street) funnily enough called Murphy's.

Flashing Blade

Robinson Crusoe, The Pied Piper and then the cutting edge sci-fi of the Tomorrow People. A jaunt anyone? Jerry and Sylvia Anderson, Supermarianation, anything can happen in the next half hour, Harmony, Melody and Symphony Angels, UFO, Emma Peel, Adam Adamant, Alexandra Bastedo in The Champions, Department S, The Prisoner, how strange was Steve Priest (RIP) in The Sweet. What the fuck was Sapphire and Steel about? Which three of the four members of 10cc were gay? Which three were Jewish? And which three were City fans? Was it always the same three? Is Val Doonican still alive? Who cares apart from Rafferty's motor car, Paddy McGinty's goat and Delaney's donkey? Take the money or open the box? Doesn't that bloke from Sparks look like Hitler? Whispering Bob Harris, Whispering Ted Lowe, Whispering Grass, power cuts, three day weeks or was it four? Bell, Lee and Summerbee, Miss Manchester City in the programme, golden goals, the end of the world is nigh, World in Action, World at War, milk at break, moonlandings, crying when the Germans knocked us out of the 1970 World Cup and gobsmacked watching Brazil win it. That's enough now. Time for my medication nurse. Ooh Benny Hill.

Well it depends how strong the case is in their perception. 1 year in the bag is better than losing. But overall I think they would take it - obviously guessing before someone posts that this thread is speculation (which it obviously is like virtually the entire forum).
Why would we take a 1-year ban when we turned down the offer of a fine?

Thanks Rik. I know it doesn't tell us what the decision is going to be but these "feelings" are a guie to feeling within the club and when people express their feelings in such unostentatious terminology you can take it they are genuine and not just to keep morale up.

And a newspaper lasted three days. Day one we read it. Day two we spread it on the table like a tablecloth, and day three we cut it up into squares and put it on a nail in the outside lavvie.
Bloody luxury, you had money to buy a newspaper!!!,you had an education to be able to read it!!! you had furniture to use it as a tablecloth!!!and you actually had a toilet!!! oh and you could afford a pair of scissors too, did you live in Buck House?

UEFA didn't want to bring this case in the first place. They were happy to let sleeping dogs lie. This case was a power play by some of the old G-14, who appear to have forced UEFA into it.

Na, if they didn't, they wouldn't have pursued it. They could easily have looked at the leaked emails, spoke to us, and concluded and proclaimed that the emails have no merit Or that they relate to the period already asessed against us that we have already been punished for. That would have been it. They went tl the effort to get the punishment in, on time, and to make it stick.
