ULEZ Letter

I am not an advocate of EV's - the current ranges and infrastructures are inadequate - I am just pointing out that there are scare stories being bandied around about a charge yet to be levied. Maybe wait and see what the impact is.

VW vans are overpriced anyway coz the surfing set and day van converters love them. Most if not all new commercial vehicles would be bought they will be leased. Buying an ageing van with older batteries and running gear etc would be too much of a gamble for most businesses I'd guess
You can’t get a new T6.1 now they’ve stopped taking orders but they can’t even lease the new Electric ones as they do around 30-40 mile per charge in the real world, Im in the market for a second hand VW and prices are slowly dropping but I won’t buy a euro 5 pre 2016 just in case the ULEZ in Manchester is forced in as it’s money down the drain then, eventually no one will buy any pre 2016 diesel in this country they will become worthless, they’ll then get shipped to a third world country who don’t care about emissions!

So the only people if will affect are the poor as they are the ones that drive older cars , all the rich drive new cars that are compliant. So if you earn minimum wage at say the NHS but live outside London as you cant afford to live in London it will cost you £12.50 per day to get to work.

Do they have free parking?

Why not just use public transport?

Which NHS roles are paid UK minimum wage in London boroughs?

If Khan is voted out I wonder if they will scrap it?
If you think Khan is going to be voted out, get yourself down the bookies.

He's 5-1 on as favourite.

Given that the fear of the ULEZ is always likely to be worse than the actual event, it's better for him to get it started on time, and see a lot of the concern die away.

If this was not about the cash, they could clear the polluters over the whole country by adjusting emissions levels in the MOT test !

Cheaper than camera systems, and tracking networks that's for sure.

Because most areas of the country have crap public transport. London has (by comparison) world-class public transport and this extends to surrounding areas.
