Do you even have a car from before 2006?
Over 93% of cars in the UK are ULEZ compliant and don't pay anything.
And of the remaining 7%, over a third are exempt for other reasons.
So this change matters to about 2% of car drivers.
In fact, the supposed revenue coming in from this scheme of £93.6m a year works out as approx 20,000 cars. In a city with 2.6m. So that's actually 0.7% of cars in London.
There's absolute no way that all the people suddenly pretending they care about this 8 year old Boris Johnson policy are actually affected by it in any way.
If it's only going to affect about 2% of car drivers and factor in more and more going electric - then why has he bothered to bring this in at all?
