Underrated Players from the 90s onwards.

Nolito, had a good start bar the headbutt, and had a much better record with him playing than not.

Then Pep stopped playing him. He gets slagged off but was a decent player.

Gerrard Wiekens could've played at a higher level than we were at. He was great on the ball and could mix it when he needed to. When we got relegated to Division 3 I thought he might of left but he stayed. He was one of my favourite players in the late 90s.

Jobson was class. It was a shame we only got him at the end of his career but I honestly think Pep would sign him now. He could pass, defend and just had the ability to read the game which good defenders do. Big Joe knew a good player when he saw one.

I loved Tiatto. He was fast, never backed out of the "tasty stuff" and when he kicked off against Norwich, it was one of my favourite moments when he was sent off ha ha! He was like a fan playing for the team and I only remember him having good games. I went to a Q and A with him and he was quite reserved really! I was pretty shocked as I expected him to be loud and aggressive, but he was the opposite.

I honestly think Distin could've played for us now. He was a Rolls Royce of a player. Fast, strong and just seemed to be a great defender.

I also thought Sun Jihai and SWP down the right worked well together.

Last one is Darren Huckerby. I thought he was a great player for us, but just seems to have been forgotten a bit. I don't think he was top class, but for where we were he was a good signing.

I think he’s probably the most overrated player in our history.

I have wrote this before but he was average for us but rated by City fans based on his subsequent career. He probably played 5 or 6 matches and pretty sure he was at fault for a couple of goals. Think Leeds and Liverpool away.

I only knew him because he played for Hearts before moving on a Bosman to Rangers. He never played for Rangers before City paid £500,000! That probably summed up City’s recruitment policy as he made only eight league appearances.

File in the same category as Gerry Creaney.
He definitely made more than 8 appearances?

Edit - 20 league plus 7 cup appearances

Steve McMahon (Think he was decent for us)
Terry Cooke. (Our fortunes in 1998/99 did improve after he joined. Not totally down to him)
Richard Jobson ( Excellent in our promotion season 99/00)
Danny Tiatto (Excellent from 1999 -2002)
Kevin Horlock
Ian Bishop (2nd time around)
Richard Dunne (Hardly a Kompany or Dias but as we established ourselves as a Premier league club he did his bit)
Sylvin Distin
Edin Dzeko (Our Bosnian friends never underrated him of course but I think some City fans did)
Jesus Navas ( look at Sancho and Rashford to see overrated. Navas was better and a good pro)
