Unite against City?

Re: Unite against city??

Holding out won't work in this case.
Because it is a business, getting a CPO will be very straight forward.
If it was a residence, getting a CPO is a lot harder process. It can also be stringed out via the Courts Of Human Rights etc.
Since the council and local residents support the developement, they are on a hiding to nothing.
If City have made a generous offer, and this is not accepted, they cannot then demand this when the CPO order comes through.
City need to make a final offer and leave it at that.

If they don't accept, then carry out the CPO.

If they have tried to carve up their land, that will in fact weaken any case they actually have.

Mantax can now join my avoid list. (next to Toshiba Timex safe style windows BT Ravenheat GM buses Carpet right gherkin france LOL)

Oh dear, oh dear. Just when you think they can't get any sadder.
A pie in the sky idea and a doomed consolation tale for deluded, bitter rags, just like the Green And Yellow campaign, the Red Knights, aka Cockneys on Donkeys, and the non-existent Qatari investors.
Still, rags seem quite happy about the idea of ripping each other off.
They weren't none existent; they're now at Malaga.

All the developments are part of a deal with the City Council so CPO powers are available if needed.

They are wasting their time.

Correct! I think Mantax might be one who's trying to play the game??

...isn't that something you pay on canal street?....

There has been , for many years, a taxi rank in the Hadfield / Padfield area of Glossop by the name of "Padtax".... I've always associated this moniker with the phrase "Les anglais sont arrive"... surely cant be just me??

Re: Unite against city??

There are some very sad people about, regardless of the fact they are wasting their precious time, anyone who did help out would lose their money, because the land will be CPO it's not difficult even for residential.

But surely they must realise that the development will help with regeneration in that area of Manchester, if I lived near Old Trafford and the Rags were proposing something like that I would support it, I bet the local community is not too happy about this as well talk about soiling your own nest!

Anyone seen the banner on the m60,seems a firm near our stadium is selling 1sq foot of its land for £250 each so our owners have to pay more!

Was talking to a lad there just yesterday who I know working on the roads who said much of the same - thought it was a wind up as he'd a red??

^^^ This. This lot who are flogging off this land must be pretty thick not to realise the possibility of a CPO.

Some United fans owning land and doing nothing with some land, whereas City want to redevelop it for the social good. I hope that isn't the case, as its pretty pathetic - no, incredibly pathetic - when you think of it. And they call us the obsessed bitters....

Re: Unite against city??

If you read the statement on that site, it's evident that he only wants to negotiate direct with City to get more money for his land. This whole rally for support from united fans is pure desperation, and only a mug would part with 250 quid to help his cause. Most Mancunian rags would rather see a derelict, deprived area re-developed for the greater good.

I can't see this campaign going anywhere.
