To be fair, and I'm loathe to give him any credit, Mourinho wasn't their manager back then and I think he was talking from a personal point of view as manager of United rather than a club point of view. I see his comments as more of a swipe at Pellegrini than City (they most certainly can't be a swipe at Pep as he wasn't here last season when we fielded that team against Chelsea in the FA Cup), and if they were aimed in any way at the club then so fucking what? It's long gone now and therefore a shit attempt at some mind games. In any case, I will add that plenty of our own fans weren't too enamoured with that team Pellegrini put out and while I wasn't as arsed as some, I did feel he went too far and could've fielded a more experienced side without jeopardising our plans for the PSG CL game and the League Cup final.
