Rooneys done nothing wrong, he hasn't broke any laws or hurt anyone and if he wants to be pissed out of his head at 5am in the morning that's entirely up to him

But what it shows yet again, is that he's finished as a top footballer. At 31 he cannot be doing shit like that and expect it not to affect his performances. It also shows that he probably doesn't care about his career as he once did. So physically and mentally he's going downhill rapidly

I suspect the main reason he no longer gives a shit about his career is the fact that he is on £300k+/week for the next 2 1/2 years or whatever it is and, apart from the rags' goal-scoring record, he has achieved practically everything he can in the game.

I'm with you, for what they earn cutting out fags, booze and burgers for a few years is hardly a hardship for a professional athlete - or Rooney.
 
I once read James Milner say he doesn't touch booze. There will plenty of time for it after his career is over.
I respect that.
