United (A) Post Match Thread

Actually I’ve just this week renewed my contract with BT and now I’m getting a load of SKY channels so I guess I’m now contributing whether I like it or not! Of course it doesn’t include SKY Sports but I have my ways! ;-)

As for my pension I’ve gotta save some for my funeral! Or maybe an 81st party seeing as we weren’t allowed gatherings for my 80th? Which do you think I should aim for? ;-). Do you think Dunnie and VK would come to a party? ;-)

Walker likes a party, providing you invite some ‘nice’ ladies

I wonder what input our security team have in such situations. If they’re any use they would have vetoed the use of that exit. They should be communicating with their counterparts at OT at a much higher level than your average steward team leader type who would’ve been in charge of organising how far those vermin were kept from the exit. We can exit any door we like and the bucks stops with the guy in charge of our security who should assess that situation and act accordingly

Obvs all that said the main blame lies with poor stewarding and the scrotes involved
This is a reply I got back from United when I emailed them about it. Didn't expect one to be fair.

We note your comments and concerns.

These have been highlighted to the Stadium Safety Team, who work closely with Manchester City’s security and the Premier League, who were both present on the match day. Both Manchester United and Manchester City Security Staff were involved with the egress of both teams at the end of this fixture and this was also carefully monitored by the Stadium Control Room and the Police.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with your feedback.

Doesn’t surprise me. The “security” industry is largely staffed by amateurs and charlatans, most companies like to pay the bare minimum for security and like everything else in life if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

If you’re wondering how seriously City or Utd or the PL take security you need only look at that video and ask yourself would one of those scrotes have been able to stab a player in the neck if he was determined enough.
