United (A) | Post Match Thread

Huge mistake by the referee which cost us one goal. They scored two goals though with no excuses for the second. Similar to Real Madrid in the semi last season where our game management and professionalism went awol. We need to keep our concentration but most of all keep our heads and use our brains. On Haaland, I think everyone is right we need to feed the ball through quicker to turn defences but also play our possession football, a plan A and plan B. We need to evolve new tactics which may also have the benefit of renergising some tired/bored players, challenge the players to win differently.

Wouldnt have scored the 2rd if the off side was given as off side

Can’t wait to see Dermot Gallagher justifying why it was a correct decision on Ref Watch on Monday, should be a classic.

Already saw it in Optus. They find a way to justify as they want to find a way. All they have to do is get experts in the studio agreeing & they had Berbatov & Owen doing that as SWP shook his head.

First half bit sloppy and no swagger.
Second half a lot better but nowhere beards good ader can be. Front three really disappointed except for when Grealish came on. Haaland was hardly getting any service but he hardly tried to make space for himself.

First goal by rags should never have been given. But it’s OT and Pep is tight to single out OT and Anfield.

Dont these ex pros saying it's a goal realise they are just making football seem more like WWF. Its ruining the game they are meant to love.

Watched just the bit of MotD where they reviewed the first Rrags goal - Micah, bless him, called it a shocking decision and Wright and Lineker both thought it was the wrong decision.

Micah was right of course, every time I see it, I'm even more staggered that Rashford was not penalised for offside.

But it is like WWF & we’ve prospered despite the refereeing. I’m more annoyed of the constant fouling / advantage / lack of cards that’s been going on all year & can be traced back to the Champs league semi loss to Madrid.

I’m convinced the corrupt cunts watched that game & thought great, that’s how we’ll interpret the rules & brought it into the our prem games.
